She ran and did not look back.
She did not have to,
Because he looked forward and ran after her.
He encircled his arms around her waist.
And she cried.
She cried tears of forgiveness.
And some of disappointment.
She cried enough tears to form an ocean.
But he held on.
She would never have to look back.
Because he would never give her another reason to run.
Because he would swim through the salty ocean to cling onto her.
