"AND YOUR OOOOUT!" Daniel screamed when Carter missed the ball for the 3rd time in baseball practice. Carter groaned and threw the bat down. He walked over to the dugout and sat down, pouting.
Carter was pretty good at baseball, it just seemed today wasn't his day. He groaned when his stomach started turning. His coach walked up to him.
"Whats the matter Enders? You seem slow today!" He asked, Carter shook his head.
"I don't feel good." He said. The coach nodded and sent him on his way. Carter basically dragged himself home. His headache started to become more and more adimit. His head felt as if it was going to explode. His stomach felt someone was clawing at it from the inside.
About 2 steps away from his house, he felt watched. He turned around. The whole world was still. Not a breeze, no cars, no people, no nothing. Except for the tall man behind the tree.
"Hello? Are you okay? What the?" When the man suddenly vanished into thin air. He shook his head and dismissed it as a side affect of whatever he was coming down with.
"MOM! Dad?" He asked. No answer. He groaned and rummaged through the medicine cabinet. He found the Tylenol he was looking for. He took the two small pills and laid ed on the couch. Closing his eyes he fell into a deep...deep slumber.
The world seemed to spin around him, his mind was blurred. Wasn't he asleep a few moments ago?
The same tall man was standing right in front of him. He walked up to him, and stood in front of him.
A seering pain went for a spin in his head. He toppled over to the beast and he ripped his arms clean out of his sockets. The eminence pain that went through him was like no other. He cried and wriggled in agony as the pain surged through him.
The tall man looked at his bloody claws and drew a smile on his face with Carter's blood. Carter's eyes couldn't see well, but he could see the figure walk up to him.
Carter let out a scream as his head was dicapitated. The being walked away. A being, without mercy.
