I muffled my moans into my pillow as my phone rang loudly the tune of Taylor Swift's Last Kiss. "No. It's supposed to be sleep-in-day not wake-up-Avery-day." My voice cracked and echoed through out my empty, new, light pink room with nothing but paint brushes, my phone charger, phone, and an occasional book scattered along the floor. Eventually my eyes shot open to see the sun drifting in from outside though the big window seat leaving yellow parallelograms on the light wood that was dusted with some saw dust. "Ughh."
"You don't know how lucky you are getting to sleep all day. Being a human means having to get up early and going to school so you get into a good college." I said as I looked at my little wolf/dog mix who was a white-yellow dusty color.
Sitting upwards I dangled my feet over the edge of my bed letting them slide onto the hard wood that sent goosebumps up my legs. Pushing myself off the bed I scrambled over to the radio turning on 106.1 letting Amazed by Lonestar blast through my room as I walked like a zombie to my private bathroom. Even though it was my bathroom and I didn't have any siblings that would go, because why would my two-years-older-than-me-and-already-in-college-but-home-for-christmas go in there? And her other brother couldn't even get into her bathroom without flying back from Afghanistan, and it wasn't even homecoming yet. And, well my younger brother but he couldn't even reach door knobs yet so. Closing the door I tapped my finger on the faucet letting cold water run out of it. Cupping my hands I let water fall into my hands as I splashed the water onto my face. Looking at the small alarm clock that I had set for 7:00 during school the little bell icon had disappeared but if you turned the clock at the right angle you could see it. As I stood up straight and looked into the mirror I saw that I had a small cold sore appearing onto the upper part of the left side of my lip. "No, no one is going to kiss me under the mistletoe with this ghastly thing on my face." Frowning I opened my make up bag and applied some Blistix onto the nasty creature and started washing my face.
Some people would normally ask "Why do you put the stuff on your face before you wash your face?" well, I don't wash my lips now do I? When I was done washing my face I got out my favorite eye shadow palette which had earth tones to go with my combination eyes which had a light green base with olive and brown flecks also with emerald green rings. Most people call my eyes weird but I tend to love them. The plan in my bathroom was to the left of the door way was a giant bathtub under three sets of windows overlooking the backyard which had the in ground pool, trampoline, shed, patio, hot tub, you know the usual. Then behind the bathtub was the shower with see through glass doors, and then across from the shower and tub was the floating counter/vanity with a sink on the left next to the door that had a toilet behind it. On the right of the counter was the vanity which had small little storage devices holding everything from cosmetics and their tools to face wash. Along the vanity/ counter was a giant mirror that started at the edge of the back of the counter and all the way up to the ceiling. Underneath the floating counter were the pipes, obviously and some small little ottomans and some drawers that held tooth brushes, toothpaste, towels, etc.
Heading into the walk in closet that had everything I could need for anything. Coats, jackets, leather jackets, swim suits, socks, underwear, tank tops, shirts, hoodies, skirts, shoes, parkas, shaws, dresses....anything you needed I had in there. Pulling out a black high-wasted skirt that poofed out a little that had small slits on the sides of each thigh and small little holes that were part of a small flower design on the rim of the dress with lace in some parts. I accompanied the skirt with a silver skinny belt about a half inch thick with small little studs creating a swirl/wave design across the length of it. I wore a grey spaghetti tank top under a lacy stretch navy short sleeve shirt. The lace had a flower designs on it that matched the skirt a little bit. As I tugged on black lace tights I stumbled onto the floor. As my hand landed above my head in a locked position I could feel something soft under my fingertips. As I clenched a fist around the soft object that felt like cashmere I dragged my hand back and I moved my body into a kneeling position. "EEE! I've been looking for you Mr. Sweater!" I ripped off the tag and pulled on the silver cardigan that had small shiny pieces of thread in it that would sparkle in the light that I got last year for Christmas. I headed over towards my shoes I scanned the wracks for a pair that stood out. Black flats? No. Black heels. Too much. Sandals. No, it's winter, and I'm wearing tights. Boots. No. Uggs. YES. Even though it was quirky they were so comfy and I had them in beige, black, white, and PINK. Sliding on the black pair the hugged my calves tightly instantly making my ice cold man feet warm!
