Chasing Love (A Minho FanFiction)

Chapter 7

I leave the homestead and go to the Med-Jack hut and sit around talking to Clint and Jeff when we all hear a crash and a crazed scream. Clint and Jeff have a silent conversation and then they run out. I run out after them seeing everybody run into the forest. I stand there shocked as to what just happened. While I was just standing there A hand covered my face and I couldn't see or speak. I tried to scream but it came out muffled. My attacker dragged me towards the Maze doors and I started kicking and biting at my attacker. I bit his hand and he released me and I turn around kicking my attacker in the face. He fell to the ground and I got on top of him restraining his arms. He tried to get up but I held him down. I realized that the boy was Ben, a runner, and he must have been stung.

"Ben what are you doing?!?!" I yell. he looks me in the eyes and I can see the craziness leave his eyes.

"I don't know what happened to me. One minute I'm fine then the next something feels like it is controlling me and now I'm fine again." He says. He looks terrified. I get off of him and help him up and lead him back to the homestead where he is staying.

Everybody begins to come out of the woods and see me with Ben and run over.

"How did you get him to calm down? He jumped out of the window?" A boy says. Jeff looks confused that I was able to calm him down.

"I'll explain later but for now I want 24 hour surveillance on him. It's just for safety Ben." I say looking at him. I smile and lead him back up to his room and have someone stay with him.

"So he started attacking me. Dragging me towards the Maze, but I bit his hand that was on my face making him release me. I turned and kicked him in the face then held him down. All of a sudden he looked into my eyes and I could see the craziness leave him. He calmed down and then that's it." I say explaining in front of the council of keepers. Minho stared at me like I was crazy. Hmph. I'm not the one who got stung and tried to kill me. 

"Okay that was weird but you handled it well. I think we can let this one go. If it happens again we will have to banish Ben." Alby said. I nodded and walked up the stairs of the homestead to my room. A few minutes later Minho came in and crushed me in a hug.

"God Lani, don't let that happen to you again. You need to stay in my sight when I'm here and Newt's when I'm not here. I love you too much to see you get hurt."

He loves me?
