Different Shapes

Chapter 3

I end up falling asleep until my mom wakes me up or dinner. I get up, kick off my shoes, and go downstairs.

"So how was school today?" I hear my dad ask.
My dad is probably my favorite parent; he lets me act non-girly.
When I was sis, my mom tried to force me into a pale pink frilly dress, knowing that I would just run around in the dirt and tear it. My dad came in to save the day with a simple navy blue tunic and red leggings. I jumped in joy and ran to him to hug him.
Thinking back in it now, I'm pretty sure my mom was staring daggers at him.
But anyway, back to the now.
I smile, "Awesome, my English teacher is absolutely the best and Swedish is so much fun." I sit down at my place setting and wait for momma to bring the food.
"Well that's great to hear kiddo." My dad smiles at me. Mom comes out of the kitchen and places my food in front of me. "Chicken parmesan just for you Jay." My yes grow wide and I thank my mom for the food. After we've all said our prayers (my family is full of devout Christians, but I'm an atheist, the odd one out) I start devouring the food and in a matter of minutes, my plate is empty.
I excuse myself from the table, put my dishes in the sink, and and then go up to my room.
What was that man doing? Trying to kidnap me? If so, then why?
I sigh and take out my phone. I open up tumblr and scroll through my feed of food, Legend of Zelda, and cats until I fall asleep.
I open my eyes and see that I'm in a dimly lit room with a chair in front of me. I can only see the back of it but there seems to be the top of a head peeking out. Then my eyes find the figure of the man who tried to capture me earlier. "I'm going to give him a piece of my mind" I say as I try to walk towards him. But I'm stuck. I can't move from where I stand.
"She's more awake than we thought, with only 4 days until she fully awakens what do we do?" I hear my chaser say. Then I hear a raspy voice, I'm assuming it's the man in the chair, "And you failed at capturing her today didn't you?" "Y-yes sorry sir.. she just transformed and escaped my hands." I hear chaser say very nervous like. "I'll give you one more chance and if you fail this time..." A vase smashes onto the ground violently and chaser nods his head hastily and walks out.
"Wh-what was that about? 4 days? There's 4 days until my birthday, what is this all about?" I say.
Suddenly I'm transported to a pale blue palace. I look down and find that I'm wearing a deep red dress instead of my normal wear.
"What is happening?!" I yell.
"Only time will tell my darling." I hear a light voice say.
"Who was that?" Show yourself!"
"I wish I could sweetheart but I am too weak, I'm lucky to have gotten enough strength to reach you here."
"Wh-who are you?"
"Something else that time will tell, but you need to listen to my words now. You are being hunted. You're special and unique. You were sent to Earth in order to protect you and your planet."
"My planet!?"
"Yes, now listen, you have extraordinary powers and if used properly, can be a powerful force to defeat your enemies. If used incorrectly, you spell doom for this planet and yours."
"But what am I supposed to do? How do I use them correctly?"
"That I cannot tell you, but you'll figure it out on your own. Now you must wake up, may we meet again, perhaps in another state of being."
"Wait-"
Before I know it she's gone

I shoot out of my bed to see that my alarm is going off. What was that?

Sorry it took so long to update, I've had so much going on, heart broken, school assemblies, etc
Hopefully I'll be able to update more
