*Kristen's POV*
I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. All the memories came flooding back and I smiled. I was home again. I was where I belonged. Liam's arm was wrapped around me and his hand gripped my t-shirt, well his t-shirt that I was wearing, like he was holding onto dear life. Like he was afraid I was going to slip away again. I looked at the clock and it was 8:40. I tried to get out of bed but it was no use.
Stupid amazing arm muscles you have Liam.
I rolled over to where I could see his face. His eyes were closed and he was slightly smiling.
"Liammm," I wined. I tried getting up again but he threw his leg over mine.
"Liammm, if you don't let me up I won't make you a special birthday breakfast."
He laughed. I was confused. Why was he laughing?
"I'm laughing because I'm not Niall or Lizzy. I can't be persuaded with food."
"Not even if I made chocolate chip pancakes and your favorite tea?"
"Nope," he smiled pulling me close.
"Are we going to do this every time we sleep in the same bed?"
"Do what?"
"This," I said motioning between the two of us. "You not letting me get up."
"I've just missed you lots, that's all," he sighed pulling me closer, if that was possible.
"I've missed you lots too," I said before gently kissing his lips.
"I love you Kristen."
"I love you Liam. Now, let me up. I'm starving."
"You forgot something."
"Happy 21st birthday, my love," I said smiling and kissing him once more.
He eagerly kissed me back and took his legs off of me. I laughed and squeezed out of his grasp.
"I missed seeing you wear my clothes. I'm glad you are back."
"Who said I'm staying?" I asked turning around to look at him. You know that overly used statement "I watched his face fall?" Well saying that was an understatement. His eyes became wet but he refused to let the tears fall and his jaw was halfway down his chest.
"But.. I-I thought. I thought you were coming b-back?" he stuttered.
I ran over to his side, like literally ran, and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Oh Liam. I was only joking. Of course I'm staying. I couldn't stand to leave again. I love you too much for that. I'll stay as long as you want me too."
He looked at me like he was trying to see if I was lying. Then a huge grin slowly appeared on his face and he hugged me back and kissed my forehead.
"I'll always want you here. I've wanted you here since you ran into me in front of that coffee shop."
"I'll give ya that one since it's your birthday. Now c'mon, breakfast won't make itself."
We walked downstairs and I grabbed the pancake mix while Liam made the tea. I sent a quick text before I mixed everything together and made sure to add extra chocolate chips before frying them. Once they were finished, I placed them on a plate along with syrup and walked to the dining room where Liam was seated, sipping his tea and looking at his phone.
"Happy Birthday!" I cheered, along with Harry, Louis, Niall, and Zayn who walked in behind me. They all attacked Liam in a hug and I took a picture. Definitely a Twitter picture. Liam thanked them and took a bite of his pancakes.
