I sighed as me and my best friend, Roma, walked over to our lunch table with our dully filled trays. We sat down and Roma started on her daily no-meat rant about our meals. I watched her hair since she dyed it last night. The hair that framed her face was neon green and the rest of her hair was a soft pink. I looked around and my eyes landed on the 'cool' kid table. It was practically full of people who lived like Roma. She's actually the richest person at school, but isn't a stuck-up slut so the other rich kids disowned her.
"Sorona! Listen to me!" her voice broke into my thoughts and my eyes landed on the new guy. She turned to see what I was looking at and I heard her chuckle. "New guy caught Sorona's eye~!" she sang and I turned back to her. "S-sorry." I reply and look down at my tray. I poked my jello with my spork and sighed. "And I do not like him. We're on completely different levels." I sigh and Roma laughs her rolling laugh. "And so are we and yet we get along purrfectly!" she purrs and I roll my eyes. I eat my jello and twist the mixture of pasta and meat about my spork.
"You shouldn't eat meat." Roma said as she crunched on her salad. She eyed me with her golden contact-clad eyes. Her parent's bought her everything she wanted and on many occasions bought me things. "But as always I will end my arguement with the fact that you are killing innocent creatures." she said with a hrmp! "And they taste delicious." I say as I gulp down a sporkful and we both laugh. I smile and find my eyes moving back to the new guy, except this time He was looking back.
I practically screamed. His cold blue eyes were peering into my auburn ones and it was like he was looking into me. He smiled and I attempted to return it. His smile turned into a smirk and he raised a finger to his lips as if telling me to not tell. Then, he turned back around. I blinked, what had that been about? My skin began to crawl and I attempted to ignore it, but my blood began to run cold. I focuse back on Roma who is now talking to our friend, Gine. He's a very tanned boy, who wears goggles about his neck and around his waist will forever be a utility belt.
"Sorona, welcome to our fandom talk. Favorite anime?" he asked and I rolled my eyes. He always asked questions. "Black Butler." I say and Roma nods. "Think I have to agree with her." Roma says and Gine rolls his eyes. "Mine is Soul Eater." I nod to him and take a drink of my milk when I feel someone behind me. A hand is suddenly next to my tray and another is on my shoulder. I pause and look to my friends. They are both staring at the person behind me with wide eyes.
"Excuse me, but I think you are in some of my classes and I wanted to know if we had any homework in math." I gulped because I knew who he was. He sat next to me in Math, I heard him answer questions and he borrowed a pencil from me the first time he came to school, and he was just staring at me. I turned around and those blue eyes danced with mine again. "No, Ms. Himer let us off since our test scores were the finest in the grade." I said. He smiles at me, "My bad. How could I have forgotten." he says, but in his eyes I see he knew all along and that he just wanted to talk to me. He smirks at me and nods to Roma and Gine before strolling back to the 'cool' table and sat next to Tiffany Nikhl, the most popular girl in school.
I blush like mad as soon as he's a foot away and Roma gives me her kinkiest smile. Gine licks his lips, "Lean meat is the best. Sorona, if he's into guys. Do I have permission?" he asks and I turn bright red. I know Gine is gay, but that he would be so outward about it is still embarrassing. "I-I guess." I stutter and he fists pumps and smiles at me playfully. I gulp as I remember his hand on my shoulder. He felt warm and he made it a point to touch me, why? Why would someone like him waste time on someone like me? I
itched my ear and sighed as Roma and Gine went back to their fandom talk about rivaling animes/ characters and best scenes.
I love talking about that kind of stuff, but I'm not in the mood anymore. I stare at my plate and poke what remains of my crimson jello. I watch the pineapple chunks sway a bit and lift if up with my spork. I begin to raise it to my lips when suddenly a hand pushes my face into it. I hear Tiffany's annyoing laugh as my jello hits my cheek and I twist around and glare at her. "Ow, look the lil freak can't even eat right. Were you raised in a barn or something? I bet that's why your mommy and daddy left you with that witch!" she jeered and her friends laughed.
