I stared dazed at them. The hell does he mean by that? I sway a bit in my stance and I just know by the intensity of Daungei and Argo's glare that whatever this means it is bad. "She seriously doesn't know, does she. Not about the prophecy? Not about her birth rights? Not about anything?" Daungei asked as his eyes darted about. I shake my head and he sighs. I watch him pull out a seat and sit next to Grandmother as Argo shakes his head. "I had hoped you would have enlightened her by now Linxi," Daungei said as he took my cup and sipped the tea from it.

"Shall I tell her, dear brother?" Daungei asked in a pleading voice as he closed his eyes. In my oppinion he sounded like a twelve year old in a fifteen year old's body. "I think it'd be best. I still get tongue-tied thinking about it." Argo replied as he walked over to me and sat next to me. Daungei nodded as I glared to him, he stole my damn tea. I know that is the last thing on my worry list, but still. That was mine! He opens his eyes and a dark shining flshes behind his irises. It isn't like Argo's, but suddenly Daungei is grim and his voice is deeper and more commanding.

"When there are multiple heirs to the throne, one mate is chosen for both and is blessed with a birthright. Whoever claims her will be king, her queen, and their pups heir. She is always marked with a birthmark about her right ankle. Clearly, you know this because of the ivy vine about your's." he said and I looked at him odd. I raised my right leg and slipped my sock off and roll up my pant leg over my knee, exposing my whole leg. We, excluding Grandmother, stare at my bare ankle as if the mark would suddenly appear, but it didn't. "I don't have any brithmarks." I say and the boys stare daggers at Grandmother who smiles. "I hid it of course. Magic works excellently with cover ups." she says. "You didn't think I'd leave it there for her to question, did you?"

"You didn't notice until now?" Daungei exclaimed and Argo growled, "I never saw her ankles!" he yelled back. "Even while you two fucked? I was sure you would have stripped her clean!" Daungei cried and both boys stood. "You act as if I'm a beast!" Argo cries and Daungei smiles, "You are aren't you?" Argo flys over the table and slams Daungei through the wall and into the kitchen. I stare in horror as Grandmother runs after them. I watch as they bust another whole in the house as Argo throws Daungei through a wall and climbs out after him. I rush outside.

I watch Argo stomp on Daungei's chest. Daungei explodes into laughter as he gets up and grips his stomach. "You are such a pussy! I think Sorona would prefer to be with a man who can fight. Maybe Kaze will do her good." Daungei jeered before Argo attacked again. I began to run after the two when Grandmother grabbed my hands. "Let them fight it out. They'll be in better moods after. Trust me, I used to babysit, these two with Nanna." she said as she pulled me to the ground. I sat cross-legged next to her as Argo punched and Daungei dodged. Daungei jeered and spat as Argo growled and cursed. They made the sounds of cats and dogs and I finally realised that the sound from the woods earlier was them fighting.

I sat there and watched for what felt like forever before Daungei had Argo pinned. "Just like the old days, Brother. When we would fight for Sorona, before I understood." Daungei smiled as his eyes darted to me. He then leaned close to Argo and gave his cheek a loving lick before jumping off and running to me. He hid behind me like a child hides behind their mother when their father is about to scold them. "How many damn times!" Argo yelled as Daungei gripped my arm. "Sorona, make Argo play nice!" Daungei cried as he sat his head on my shoulder, peering at Argo I believe. I offered a shaky smile as Argo stared at Daungei evilly. "You always hid behind her!" Argo frowned.

"Because it is the smartest thing to do!" Daungei cried a he wrapped his arms about me and gave me a small squeeze. I blush despite myself and hear him giggle like a child. "Anyways, now that the tantrum is over can we continue telling her?" Grandmother says as she flips her hand upward. It begins to glow orange. I watch for a second before I notice that my right ankle is glowing orange as well. I watch as the orange glow takes form as an ivy vine and wraps around my ankle and up half of my ankle. The vine stops it's spiral wrap with a delicate leaf under my knee, multiple leaves throughout the whole thing. I look at it and more memories flash back.

I remember everything from my nineth birthday until today. I feel tears well up in my eyes as I remember Kaze attacking my family on that day. I remember Daungei and Argo getting into tussles when we were younger. I remember Grandmother's genuine smile and my parents'. I look back down and the vine is now soft pink, a bit darker then my skin, and faded, but precise. It sort of looks like tattoo, a well faded tattoo. I looked up and saw Daungei smile all giddy-like.

"There it is!" he called and Argo frowned at him. "I still can't believe you didn't notice." Daungei sighs. "She wore knee long socks! The hell am I supposed to notice?" Argo growled as I sat back down on the ground, my pants still rolled up to my knees since they aren't form fitting. "Okay, so I choose who the heir is. My birthmark gave me that right. I got it, but still. Why does Kaze want me? Can't he just deal with not being king?" I ask, I don't fucking understand kingdoms! I never got past paragraph 1 in history! Shit, maybe I should not have taken a nap in Mr. Mkigot's class!

"Our father has a rivalry with his. Our father married my mother and won the throne. He did this by sneaking her away from his brother's house every night for five months, during that time she got impregnanted with me. When our uncle found out, he impregnated her lady in waiting. Since our father became king, it meant our uncle's son would also be heir since they both had an equal chance as well. Our father stole our uncle's bride, even though Mother hated our uncle, so Kaze wants to steal my mate to repay our side for what our father did. Being king adds to the enjoyment, he'll get if he wins." Argo explained and I stared at him blankly. Yep, I should have paid attention in history! I let the information sink in as we all sit there silently. Daungei ends up sitting next to Grandmother and I end up in Argo's lap across from them.

I sigh as I finally understand. "So, Kaze. He's a werewolf too?" I say finally and they all nod simultaneously. "He wants to force me to mate with him to get back at you and to become king?" I ask and they nod once more. Argo hides in my hair as Daungei looks at me odd. "Go ahead ask what's on your mind. I can hear your heart speed up." Daungei sighs and I look at the ground under my toes. "Will I get pregnant because of last night? We didn't have protection." I say and to honest the question has been frightening me. Argo laughed into my hair before planting a kiss in it. "No, werewolves can choose when their sperm can impregnant their mates. I didn't let that happen, we're too young and we aren't mated." Argo said as he wrapped me into a giant bear hug. I leaned back into it, still a bit worried.

I have to admit, I'm afraid of this Kaze guy. He doesn't sound a bit nice and he seems to me like an asshole. I just wish this had never happened. I wish I could've met Argo under normal circumstances, Daungei too. I wish I met them at school or something, with no talk of werewolves and such. I just fucking wish I could have fallen in love in a different way! Damn it all!
