"Do you ever wonder how many stars are in the sky?" I ask as I stare out the window into the deep blue sky. After we got back to the room we had some fun for a couple of hours, if you know what I mean. Now we're just laying in bed, me on my side facing the window and Dylan behind me, hugging me real tight; I'm not complaining though, I love it. "A couple of times." he replies. "Have you?" he added. "Multiple times." I respond. I can feel his soft breaths from his nose hitting the back of my neck. I begin to feel really hot and I know sooner or later I am going to sweat but I don't want to leave his arms ever again. Suddenly his body leaves me alone on the bed. I turn around as he goes to the small fridge and takes out a small bottle of water. He chugs it before coming back to bed. I look at the time on the digital clock and see that it's two in the morning.

"We should get some sleep." I say, turning to face him. He nods before giving me a kiss and we both slowly drift off into a deep sleep.

A loud bang causes me to jump out of sleep. The door to the room is opening and there is people in here trying to rob us. I look at the Dylan next to me and his face is full of blood. How did I not wake up to that? I hear all the noise stop and turn my head to see the guys staring at me. My hand slides under the pillow as they smirk at me. "Good morning gorgeous." one of them say. I quickly grab the gun under my pillow and point it at one of the guys. Their eyes quickly grow wide as they hold their hands up. I slowly get up as I hold the gun out carefully.

"Put everything down." I say through gritted teeth. They slowly do, keeping their eyes on me. Once they do they stand up straight with their hands in the air again. "Now get out and never mess with us again." I say and they quickly run out of the room. I quickly close the door and put one of the dressers in front of it. I turn on all the lights and go straight to Dylan. I place my hand on his chest and feel a heartbeat. "Dylan." I say softly but he doesn't move. "Dylan." I say a bit louder and shake his body a bit. I put my ear close to his mouth and hear him breathe. Ten seconds pass and he breathes again. This isn't good at all. I grab a wet cloth and wipe the blood off of his face. There are at least three cuts on his face and a couple of small bruises. I try shaking him more but he still doesn't wake up.

"Come on Dylan." I say mostly to myself. "What the hell am I going to do?" I mutter. Then an idea pops in my head. I take the keys for the car and room before putting the gun in my pants underneath my shirt. I move the dresser out of the way and go to the car. In the GPS I look for the nearest hospital. I quickly drive and get there in ten minutes. I wait in the car until an doctor walks out. I quickly get out and follow the doctor to her car. I pull out the gun and put it close to her head so she'll feel it. "Make a noise and I'll shoot." I say and she stays quiet. "Come on." I say as I grab her arm and take her to my car. "Get in and drive." I say before getting in.

"What do you want from me?" she asks. "Help." I say quickly. We arrive at them motel and we go into the room. She sees Dylan on the bed and gasps. "Some guys came in to rob us, they beat him up and now he's barely breathing. I don't know what to do." I explain. She goes over to him and gently touches his face. "He could be bleeding internally and can have a concussion. You need to take him to the hospital." she says. "I can't, we'll get caught." I mumble. "Who are you?" she asks. I look up at her and see a concerned look in her eyes. I sigh and tell her to sit down. I explain everything that has happened excluding being Bonnie and Clyde. By the time I was done I was crying.

"I just don't want to be alone and I care about him so much." I say. "I understand. Lets take him to the hospital, I'll make sure that the cops won't come, I promise." she says as she rubs my back. "Ok." I say. She helps me take him to the car. We quickly drive to the hospital. When we get there we go through a back door and take Dylan to a private room. Dr. Roman is her name; she immediately begins to run tests on him. Some of the tests I had to leave the room. After about an hour or so she comes out of the room. She has a worried look on her face which causes my heart to drop down to my feet. Please let whatever it is be some type of sick joke.

"He has a severe concussion, whoever did this to him beat him real bad." she says in a sympathetic voice. "When do you think he'll wake up?" I ask. "It's hard to tell, there is a chance that he may wake up with amnesia." she says and I feel like my lungs have broken apart into pieces. I begin to hyperventilate, taking in quick and small breaths. This can't happen to me, I don't want to lose him now, I just got him back! "Sweetheart, breathe." I hear Dr. Roman's voice in the back of my head but a loud ringing noise fills my ears and my eyes begin to cloud. Is this what an anxiety attack is like? Maybe it's because I haven't eaten in a while. I don't know what to do....

 I wake up to a beeping noise. My eyes slowly open as I try to look at my surroundings but my sight is too blurry.

After I blink a couple of times I realize that I'm still in the hospital.

"Hey gorgeous." I hear a familiar voice. I turn my head and see Dylan to the left of me, smiling. He doesn't have any marks on his face at all, like the attempted robbery has never happened.

"Dylan? What happened?" I ask.

His eyes begin to tear up as his breathing begins to increase. "Those ignorant assholes came into the room" he begins. "they were on top of you while I was tied up. I tried to stop them but this happened to you." he says before pulling the blanket off of me.

I look down to see that my legs were cut off. I begin to scream as I feel the pain of someone cutting my legs off. Dylan cries next to me as I do and it's the worse noise I've ever heard...

{}{}{}

I jump out of my sleep, my breathing accelerating. I look around me and my eyes land on a sleeping Dylan, or that's what it seems. I'm laying on a couch that's on the other side of the room. I slowly get up and walk to Dylan. I look at all the cuts and bruises on his face and my eyes begin to water at the thought of what happened to him. Why couldn't it have been me? I would die for this kid. Well he's not a kid, he's older than me. I laugh at the thought that I would date a guy who's younger than me. The door opens behind me and Dr. Roman walks in.

"Oh, you're awake." she smiles at me. I give her a small smile before she walks around me and checks a couple of things. "Are you feeling okay?" she asks and I nod my head. "You should eat something, I'll go grab something from the cafeteria." she says before walking to the door. I grab her wrist and she turns to face me. "How is he doing?" I ask. "It's still severe, sweetie." she says and I let her wrist go. She sighs before leaving me alone with him.
