So I realize now that I have not updated in quite some time, and for that I apologize. I have been quite busy with AP courses and sports and quite frankly forgot about updating, but now I actually have some free time. So as usual - I love it when readers tell me their ideas, so if anyone has any, feel free to leave them in the comments... and I own nothing.

Nico POV
Babies are smaller than he thought they would be. Like the size of a football... It was odd. Odd to hold one. Odd how small they were. Odd to be a father. He'd never had a father. Sure, Hades was his father, but the immortal wasn't exactly one to openly provide love and comfort, nor did his father ever raise him. Plus, he hadn't actually known or remembered his father till he was about... ten? Bianca had been the closest thing to a parent that he could ever remember.
Long story short, he didn't know the first thing about parenting other than to make sure they were dressed and to wash behind the ears, so imagine his surprise (and worry) when Perce had told him she was expecting. She had been all nerves and smiles. He fondly remembered her gently caressing the area where their little "jellybean" was safely growing as she told him. Her twinkling eyes, her bright smile, her excited aura; she was brilliant and beautiful all at once. He had never been more in love.
He was still worried. He was just as excited as his wife, but at the same time he was scared. He nor she never really have good childhoods to base their parenting off of. Sure, Persis had Sally, but she spent most of her life in boarding schools and around that scum Gabe, and he only ever had Bianca. So he was scared out of his mind that he would be holding a clean life in his hands and raising the child.
Persis was radiant though. She was glowing and so happy, but she could sense his apprehension. One night as they were laying in each others' arms she quietly whispered over the hush of the cool Italian night what was bothering him.
"I don't know", was his tired reply.
She turned as well as she could with her rounded stomach and gave him a small glare, "Do you really expect me to believe that schist?"
He sighed. He could never get anything past her, "Sorry," he winced a little, "I'm just... scared"
Her glare softened into an understanding look, "Oh, Nico," she whispered as she moved her hand to lightly touch his face.
"I'm scared that I'm going to screw this up. That I won't be mature enough to handle this. That our beautiful child will eventually hate me, " he continued, "How am I - how are we going to do this?"
"Mi Amor, do you love our child? Do you want the best for our baby? she questioned.
"Yes, with all my heart," was his reply.
"Then everything will be alright."
A few months later, Marcellus was born, and here Nico was, holding his son. All he felt was love. Love for his beautiful wife and love for his new son. He couldn't help but feel that everything would be alright just as Persis had said.
