Emerald sighed for the hundredth -no.. 109th- time as he watched ruby and sapphire fight
Its always the same.. How'd we even get here anyway?
Last time Emerald checked they were hanging out in the kanto safari zone
Now here they were, a soggy Ruby and a angry (*cough* terrifying *cough*) Sapphire
Do you really want to know how this happened?
Emerald shuddered
I really don't know how to deal with them..

Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby walked into the safari zone, hearing the crickets cries
"Woah! Its so- open here!"
"I'd say its.. Rather," ruby shuddered as he watched heracross fly past, "disgusting."
Emerald braced himself, getting ready for the inevitable fight
He was surprised to hear only a sigh
"Figures, a person like ya wouldn't know anything about nature."
She turd away, instead focusing on a chansey that loitered around the bushes in the more marshy area
Emerald looked at ruby, who was busy cleaning something off his hair- hat
That's a hat right? Who knows
Emerald shrugged, before heading over to sapphire, who threw some rocks at the chansey
"What was up with you back there?"
She faced him, dropping her rock, "huh?
Emerald mentally facepalmed
"You two usually fight... I'm scared to know if anything happened.."
"Its best to just leave it be, its kinda pointless nowadays."
Holy shit is she growing up?
He gave himself a hi five (when she wasn't look, of course) in victory.

"Ah! Wait! Get back 'ere!"
Sapphire chased the chansey. Who had began to run elsewhere.
She skidded into the swamp area, her feet kicking up mud and other grit
The chansey ran away fearfully, itself skidding in the mud
Emerald watched them skid around for a bit, just sliding in the mud
This continued for another 4 minutes
"I caught it!" Sapphire jumped up and down gleefully, a smile on her face
"Sapphire! What are you doing?"
Ruby ran up to the girl, not skidding at all?
Uh..
"You're all filthy!" He pulled out a towel from him bag and started wiping her off
"Calm down! A little dirt won't hurt me!"
She pushed him away.. A little bit too hard if you'd ask me..

Ruby fell into the mud

Emerald sighed as he watched Ruby stand up, the said boy grimacing as he looked at all the dirt smeared on them

They must've realized I was still watching, as they scrambled up, away from whatever that was
