20. the clock stops

This is probably one of my favorite chapters.

Also lets get a hand of applause to C who spammed us thanks a lot C

Via turned the corner.

"Look! A door! That's open." She added as an afterthought, as OniAudrey walked up to stand besides her. Twisted examined everything from behind, eyes wide behind her glasses.

"This is cool ass shit, I wish I could take a photo." Twisted commented.

"Don't you have your phone? Oh wait.... WE HAVE OUR PHONES!" OniAudrey shrieked. The three girls screamed, scrambling to get out their phones.

"No service!" Via cried.

"What? No!" OniAudrey fretted.

"I can still take a picture." Twisted snickered, snapping a photo of the pairing hung on the dark painted wall. OniAudrey scowled as Via rolled her eyes and faced forward again.

"Whatever, Twisted. What's in this room anyways?" Via asked, slowly creaking the door open.

"Dank ass memes." Twisted answered.

"Shut up." OniAudrey scolded as Twisted silently chuckled, Via watching as OniAudrey opened the door.

"Nothing."

"Wow, good job." Twisted sarcastically congratulated OniAudrey, clapping loudly as Via glanced towards OniAudrey. Her lips were in a straight line as she glared at Twisted.

"Thank you." OniAudrey replied curtly, facing Via. Via smiled. "Where to next? We've basically covered this whole hall"

"Report back. I don't want to risk us getting fucking MURDERED." Twisted emphasized the word 'murdered', as Via sighed, disappointed. OniAudrey bounded forward.

"Watch your stEP-"

"-ONIAUDREY NO-"

"-WAIT!!!"

And right as the three turned to see Angst standing at the end of the hallway - everything seemed to stop.

Angst watched the scene stop.

OniAudrey beginning to fall through the floor, Via racing to grab her arm as Twisted looking up at Angst, horrified. But they weren't moving.

Time just stopped.

Angst sucked in a breath. This was his chance. He could save them all.

He began to run through the hallways, running to the door. The door. The entrance. The way to freedom.

But he needed a key. Not even the key as in a house key, a car key, but a puzzle piece. A solution.

How can he open the door.

But it was no use. He started feeling himself slowly slow down every step, and sooner or later he was frozen. Angst felt time unravel as a scream ran through the hallway, time rising back to its present.

"One o'clock." Angst whispered, hanging his head. "The loops never end." And sadly, he began to walk down the Ty hallway, knowing he didn't try hard enough.

"OniAudrey's dead!" Via wailed.

Ender and Shadow shared glances as Iris slugged down some sort of beverage. It was beer.

"Iris, stop drinking!" Angst put his hands on his hips and glared at his father.

"No." Iris slurred. Angst took the bottle and crashed it to the ground, the glass shattering by their feet, the leftover liquid pouring over the tile floor.

"Fucckq." Iris spoke nonsense. "You demon child fuckf you"

"Where did he get these drinks??" Twisted demanded.

"We found a party room." Shadow grinned.

"Yeah, enough with drunk Iris, where's Fire and Ry?" Ender asked. Everyone turned to look at Angst.

"Looking for me." Angst muttered, looking down.

"ANGST!!" Via yelled. "Why did you leave them?" Twisted frowned, as Iris slumped against Shadow's shoulder in the background.

"They're jerks." Angst mumbled.

"We can't leave them!" Ender harshly said. "They could die!"

"Everyone just dies in the end." Angst glanced at Twisted who shared his glance in confusion.

"What does that mean?" Shadow asked.

"It means - we're all dead meat, and there's no going back."
