CHAPTER 20- VAMPIRE

I looked up from the letters and saw everyone was already gone except for Imogen, Max, Mia, Ryker, Daniel and I. Mia still looked suspiciously between me and Imogen.

"So Hailey. Are you or aren't you?" Mia whispered into my ear because she moved from the other side of the table to the chair next to me.

"What is she talking about Hailey?" I cursed under my breath.

"Give us a moment please." Everyone stood up and walked out of the office. I saw Mia pouting but Ryker pulled her out.

"The girls thought I was pregnant, bought me sticks and made me pee on them. I did and I'm pregnant."

"WHAT!" His voices boomed above me as he stood and slammed his fists on the table. I cowered away from him and looked at my hands. He took a deep breath and sat down.

"That's why you were sad when you came into the room? Why didn't you tell me when you suspected it?" He asked accusingly, taking a step back.

"I am so sorry. I can't do this." I stood up and rushed towards the door. Before I could open the door Daniel grabbed me and pulled me into his chest.

"I'm so sorry I didn't tell you earlier." He shushed me again and told me that its oky.

"I suspected I was pregnant last week. But I didn't want to tell you right away because you are so stressed and woried. I didn't want to put more on your plate."

He took a deep breath to calm his anger and closed his eyes. By now tears were streaming down my face. Daniel opened his eyes and looked me in the eye.

"Why? You know this is very important. What if they took you? They could have hurt you and made you lose my baby." He yelled and grabbed his hair in frustration. "I could have lost you." He whispered. Tears kept falling down my face but I rubbed them away before speaking.

"I was scared. Oky. I wouldn't have gone to give myself to him. I'm not that stupid. And don't say you didn't think it. I just didn't want you more stressed out. You hardly eat, sleep or speak. I couldn't take it being worse. That's why." I rubbed my eyes again.

"I wouldn't be stupid enough to hurt you or my baby. Our baby." He took another deep breath and stepped closer. He pulled my body against his and hugged me tight. He rested his hands on my hips and picked me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist but he put me down on the table. I unwrapped my legs but kept them on either side of his hips.

He kissed my forehead and moved a little back. He played with the hem of my shirt and pulled it up and over my head. I layed back on my hands and stared at him confused. He took a seat in front of me on the chair and pulled my butt closer to the end of the table. He rested his hands on my hips again.

He did something that surprised me. He leaned down and kissed my flat stomache. Both his hands moved over my stomache. I could see a smile on his face and smiled too. I took my one hand and layed it on his cheek. He closed his eyes and leaned into my touch.

"No more shifting." He suddenly said.

"What? Why?" I frowned and looked down at him.

"If you shift you could hurt the baby. Don't argue with me on this. I'm already mad at you because you hided this from me." I looked away from him ashamed of myself. Daniel sighted and pulled my face so that I could look at him.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you most." I muttered as I kissed him. There was a knock on the door so I quickly pulled my shirt over my head, covering me.

"Come in." I said.

"Sorry to bother you Alpha, Luna. But there's someone who needs to speak with you near the northern border." Daniel clenched his teeth in aggrivation. He stood up and pulled me along with him. Declan stood in the halway with Max next to him. A few other guards stood down the hall, and Alpha Ryker among them.
