(A/N) sorry it's taken so long to update, i've had loads of exams at school! it's summer now so i'll be updating regularly:)
Lily's POV
I looked down at the caller ID only to see my bestfriend's name on the screen. I didn't know whether to answer or not because I was with the boys and other than it being slightly rude, I couldn't tell Ethan I was with them because he would freak out. He loved One Direction. I declined the call and looked up to Niall who was staring at me like he was waiting for an explanation.
"Oh that was just my bestfriend. I didn't think you guys would want me to tell him I was with you?" Nialls facial expression changed quickly, to one that seemed.. relieved? He put arm back down onto my thigh and smiled at me, me smiling back. Liam's being quiet I thought to myself and turned around to see Liam looking out the window. He hadn't spoken the whole time we've been in the car.
"Liam, are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah I'm fine" he replied. Hm, weird. Anyway, Niall Horan has his hand on my leg. How am I even still breathing? I felt the car start to slow down until we finally stopped outside a small cafe and Niall got out. Liam followed but I don't know why he's being so quiet? He's probably just tired I guess. Oh well, let's just get something to eat.
Niall's POV
I felt a wave of relief wash over me when Lily said Ethan was just her bestfriend. I don't know why I was so bothered though, I mean it wasn't like I have feelings for her. Or do I? No I don't, I can't I don't even know her properly. She smiled up at me with her beautiful smile with perfect teeth, cute little dimples and glistening eyes and I just felt warm inside. She really was the most perfect girl I've ever seen. Paul stopped the car and I got out, looking at the small cafe we were in front of. It was cute, but I'd never been here before so Liam must have told Paul to come here. As I scanned the settings around me, I noticed in the corner there were beanbags and pillows with fairy lights weaved around the surroundings and it looked pretty romantic. I glanced over at Liam to see him staring into the corner with longing eyes. Was he planning to bring Lily here so they could sit in that corner? I had to ask him if it was his idea to come here.
"Hey Liam, did you tell Paul to come here?" I questioned.
"Yeah actually, I brought Danielle here once and I remembered how nice it was" he replied with a small smile on his face. Him and Danielle had been broken up for around two months now. He says he's okay but I know he's not, they were the perfect couple but it just got to the point where the relationship wasn't working out. I felt so sorry for the guy but at least they were still friends. Back into the real world, I originally thought Paul had thought of coming here and Liam didn't know where we were going but Liam actually told him to come here. To the romantic little cafe out in the country, enough to make any girl feel special. Well, I was going to make sure he wasn't the one making Lily feel special and I was.
Liam's POV
I'm so pissed off at Niall. Why did he have to come? And put his hand on Lily's leg in the car, why would he do that? Maybe that was the only place it was comfy to put his hand.. yeah I'll just go with that. "Why don't you go and sit over there while me and Niall get some drinks and a bite to eat, what do you want? I asked Lily while pointing into the corner of the cafe.
"Oh just a hot chocolate and some flapjack would be great please" she said politely before heading off to sit down. Okay, now's my chance to speak to Niall about this.
"Welcome to the cove, what can I get you?" I looked up to see a really pretty girl looking at me from over the counter. She wasn't as beautiful as Lily but you know, still pretty.
