((Cat above is Shadowstripe))

"How dare they?!"

"Those fox hearted thieves!"

"Eaglestar better have a good explanation for this!"

Shadowstripe woke up to sounds of angry yowls and protests. His first instinct was to cover his ears and try to sleep, but the other half of him wanted to see what in StarClan was happening.

He slowly got to his paws and walked past the still sleeping Snowfall. She could sleep through anything... he thought with a smirk. He then stepped out of his den and saw that cats were surrounded in the middle of the clearing, their fur bristling and their tails puffed out.

"What is going on?" He yowled over the loud conversations.

Oakleaf was closest to him, and he growled, "Those MountainClan cats got the nerve to steal our prey, even when they made it clear that they were going to 'follow the warrior code'" he mocked them with anger, "Those hypocrites must have been desperate to do something so vile."

Shadowstripe hissed in outrage at the news. He couldn't believe that after Eaglestar made such a big deal about not sharing prey at the gathering, that they would just turn right around the next day and steal their prey. "How could they do something so awful?!" He bared his teeth and unsheathed his claws.

Oakleaf shook his head, "I don't know, but Birchstar better do something about it or the whole clan's gonna be mad. Stoneswirl is talking to him right now." He explained.

Shadowstripe nodded, his tail lashing back and forth as he waited for the old leader to come out. He must be so angry at the betrayal. I hope we get to have a battle. He thought, clawing the grass.

"All cats who are old enough- well I see you're already here. Let's just start the meeting." Birchstar rasped. "Stoneswirl reported that the dawn patrol scented MountainClan cats over our border this morning. They also scented rabbit blood."

Everyone started to yowl in protest again, "Those hypocrites! We should teach them a lesson!"

"Calm down everyone," Birchstar yelled over the crowd, "we don't even know if they stole any prey in the first place."

"The proof's right there mouse-" Juniperheart cut herself off, "I mean, what other proof do you need?"

Birchstar glared at her for a moment and then sighed, "Well we must be absolutely sure that they did it before we start an unnecessary battle. And besides, I'm sure MountainClan wouldn't have stolen prey right after they said they wouldn't even share it. We will not have a battle just yet until we are sure that they stole our prey. Meeting dismissed."

All of the cats stalked away, muttering angrily to themselves. Oakleaf and Cinderstorm were ranting angrily but quietly outside the camp, and Shadowstripe couldn't help but listen in.

"How could Birchstar be so fog-brained?" Oakleaf hissed, "Doesn't he see that this is the perfect opportunity to attack them?!"

Cinderstorm let out a frustrated sigh, "But why would they have stolen prey in the first place?"

"They must be desperate to have stolen prey, and so that means they're weak. This is the perfect opportunity to attack them!" Oakleaf argued.

Cinderstorm growled, "I know, but-"

"And if we're not going to battle with them, then we have to get even with them some other way." He mewed.

"Hey guys, what's up?" Shadowstripe mewed, pretending to be oblivious to what they were saying.
