A Million Reasons to Smile

Day 11

The gifts have stopped appearing for a few days now and Jenna was kind of curious why.

Has her mysterious stalker finally lost interest in her?

She also had not forgotten what her sister said a few days ago. It sort of troubled her that it managed to creep its way into her dreams.

There was a time back in the past when she thought that Ace and Jewel were doing something behind her back due to a 'little joke' Sabo and her pulled on Ace.

"No, no. That was way back then." She reassured herself. "Sis wouldn't deliberately do that again, right?" She asked herself.

But if there was one thing she knew about that cat, it was that she loved to play games.

"Jenna?"

She yelped and jumped back. "Oh. Ace, it's just you." She sighed, placing a hand on her heart.

"I've been calling you for a while and you haven't answered me." He frowned and placed a hand on her forehead. "You were kinda spaced out too. You feeling alright?"

Jenna nodded and moved his hand away, forcing out her best smile. "Yeah, I'm fine, really."

Ace looked her over, not entirely convinced but smiled and petted her head. "Fine, but call me if you need me." He said before walking off.

She watched him go, but suddenly called out. "Ace, wait!"

This made him stop in his tracks and turn around to face her. "Yeah? What is it?"

If she asked him if he was cheating on her then it would seem like she doesn't trust him.

Jenna glanced at the floor and bit her lip. "Umm..." Was all she could utter.

"Um?" Ace repeated, waiting for her to continue.

Mustering up the courage, she looked him in the eyes and asked. "Have you...been seeing sis lately?"

Although if he had said yes, what would she do? Damn, she had never thought about what would happen if he-

"Yeah, kinda."

Jenna's heart sank.
