“Fudge!” Derrick yelled as he woke up to his clock saying 7:50, knowing he had to leave for school by 7:30. He quickly got up, sloppily took a three minute shower, ate a granola bar, got dressed in under a minute, and sprinted out of his house. When he finally got to school he noticed it looked weird. There was nobody in the office to check him in, but when he left the office and went to the cafeteria, he nearly fainted. There was blood everywhere, on the tables, all over the floor, there were even blood trails that looked like someone was dragged off somewhere. Now in a panicked state, he quickly ran to where the 6th graders were to find his brother Christopher (Chris for short). When he got to his classroom he was horrified. There was blood all over the room and his brother sitting in a corner in a state of fear holding a bloody pair of scissors in his hand.
“Chris is you okay!?” Derrick asked concerned.
“There was nothing I could do, I had to kill them all or I would die!” Chris sobbed.
“What!” Derrick yelled, “Okay, okay do you know what attacked you?” Derrick asked eager to find out what happened.
“I, I don’t know what to call them” he stammered.
“Okay, is there anyone else left that we could help?” Derrick asked.
“I don’t know, but you should probably look for your friends.” Chris said starting to calm down.
“Okay but first we should get supplies and build weapons like in Tranzit.” Derrick said searching the room for possible building materials. “Okay, get two pairs of scissors for yourself, four Rulers, some rubber bands, tape, and a lot of pencils, we’re going to get out of this school."
