As Sophie walked into the front room of her Granny's cottage she took in the fresh smell of cinnamon and apple candles, lavender spray and a delicious smell of food. Not just any food, Granny's most famous fish pie.

Not only did the smell seem delicious but the scenery of the small and cosy cottage was lovely. Pretty pictures of deers and flowers were hung on the walls and family pictures placed on the coffee table along with a vase full of freshly cut Lily's and Roses in a hybrid of loveliness.

Sophie walked into Granny's kitchen and sat at the wood rectangle carved table. Granny sat down next to her and offered some delicious bake well tarts to her with a cherry on the top of the sweet treat. She then pored a cup of hot tea and gestured it to Sophie. The tea was delicious and so warming. It's mellow and sweet taste smoothed out her tension and relaxed her. Granny made the best tea and it was a necessity to have some every time they came to visit.

Soon after, the pie was ready. Besides the tart and two sausages she had had earlier on Sophie was starving. The dish of fish pie was steaming whilst Granny Rose cut it up into reasonable square chunks. Granny passed the plate to Sophie with a knife and fork and a glass of water. Sophie blew on her pie on her fork to stop from burning her tongue and eat it.

It was AMAZING!

She toke another bite and another and before she knew she had finished and was on to her seconds.

"So Granny, what have you been up to?" Sophie asked. "Well Darling, I cleaned the house, pruned the roses, fed the cats and well i went to church for remembrance Sunday." Granny suddenly went quite and timid, she hated talking about the war and services and how her life used to be, Sophie and her family have never known why.

Granny suddenly smiled and said "I'm going to tell you about Thomas Clark."

Sophie and her family looked baffled but they listened.

So here's Granny's story about Thomas Clark.

A/N:

First Chapter and the second chapter nailed! I hope you're liking this so far. I have a Granny just like this and she always tells me and my family about her past live. So that's my inspiration and I'm having so much fun writing this i can't tell you how much i love history.

Anyway, keep reading and the next chapter will be up in about a day, i have to work on it, like this one!

xx
