Chapter 10

We finally got to my house. I could see my dad's car was parked in the garage. Zayn parked across the street from my house, like usual. We just looked at each other for a moment. "Are you ready babe?", he said. "Yeah", I said. "Whatever happens I'll be here okay", he said. I just nodded. We both got out of the car and we were on the porch. "I'll be here okay", he whispered. I nodded and I kissed him on the lips like if it was the last time I'll ever see him. He sat on the stairs. Okay this is it. I got my keys and I opened the door quietly and slowly. I looked around and no one was downstairs, so I figured my dad was upstairs. I closed the door and I went upstairs quietly. I went to my father's office. I opened his door quietly and slowly. I saw he was sitting on his chair next to his desk. "D-dad?", I said. He turned around and his eyes widen and he stand up and went up to me. I just looked on the floor, I felt like he was going to hit me or something. He was just starring at me and then he gave me a huge hug. Then I saw tears coming out from his eyes. "Paris, I thought I was going to lose you", he said. "No dad I'll never lose you", I said. "Where have you been?", He said. "I was with Zayn the whole time dad", I said. "ZAYN?! Where is he by the way?!", He shouted. "Dad, see! This is why I ran away. You need to stop just need to stop judging people by their appearance", I said. He seemed calmed as he realized, I was right. "You're right. It's just I was like him once Paris. I know how it is to hurt a girl's feelings. I don't want that to happen to you", he said. "He's a good guy dad. He protects me. I know he loves me dad, please understand that", I said. "But the thing is, I'm afraid he's going to use you and then he'll throw you away like if you're trash or something. Because I used to do stuff like that when I was in high school. And you don't know how much I regret that", he said. I never thought my father would a cheater. Now I understand him. He was that bad boy in high school who would play with girls' feelings. Ever since he had a daughter, he doesn't want his little girl to get hurt. "Dad, this one is different. I promise", I said smiling. He smiled. I haven't seen that smile in a while. He gave me a kiss on the forehead. "Okay Paris. I trust you. I'm sorry I've been so mean and harsh to you", he said. "It's okay dad, I forgive you", I said smiling. "So where's Zayn?", he asked. He's outside on the porch. "Okay I need to talk to him", he said. I just smiled. We both went downstairs.

I opened the door. Zayn quickly stand up. "So, what happened?", Zayn said. My father got out. Zayn's eyes widen. "Zayn", my father said serious. "Sir", Zayn said. "Zayn, I'm sorry for judging you and for treating you guys so harsh. You can be with my daughter as long as you don't hurt her please", my father said. I smiled and I hugged Zayn. Zayn smiled and said, "Don't worry sir. None of that is going to happen. I promise". I looked at my dad and smiled. My dad smiled as well. "You know I haven't seen that smile in a while since your mother died", he said. It's true, I haven't smiled so often ever since my mother died. My father smiled and he patted Zayn's back, and he went back inside. I looked at Zayn, he smiled upon me. "So, where do you wanna go next babe?", he asked. "Anywhere as long as I'm with you", I whispered. He smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be back I'm going to change", I said. "Okay I'll be here waiting for you", he said.
