"Please Laurent, no leave me!" Larry sobbed. "I love you, please?"Laurent pushes Kate aside and ran to the door. Kate pulls him from opening the door.
"Tell me and you will never see your brother cry again. You can stay here pain-free and happy. He'll always be the happy loving brother you've wanted him to be. You can be happier than you would ever be in life. Just tell say the words. Tell me you want your brother to be happy." She tried to lead Laurent back to the bed but he pushed her away and opens the door.

(Laurent)
My whole body hurt, no it feels like my body shattered and I'm freezing again. I opened my eyes and Larry was sobbing uncontrollably, cradling my head to his chest. He had a huge gash across his head but he was holding my head above the rising water.
"Where are we?" I asked softly, trying to look around.
"The workshop. You saved some kids when the roof collapse. Now you trapped." Larry looked down my body. He not lie, my body was pinned under heavy beams and pipes.
"Where the kids?" I winced feeling a few of my ribs were broken.
"In the hall. They safe." He says, the sadness on his face tells me they not make it..
"Help me, get me out." I demanded.
"If I move your head goes back underwater." Larry replied frantically.
"I awake now." I reached up to touch the gash on his face. He leaned back and looked sad. "Okay, we need to get me out of here. Can you to help free my legs?"
Larry looked scared.
"Come on we do it together." I grab his hand.Larry propped me up as best he could and started trying to move the debris pinning my legs. He looks like he's going to fall over at any minute. I looked at the rubble around me and wonder how long he's been trying to free me.
"Hey talk to me. Why you cry?" I asked.
"You fell asleep, but you still talked to me. Everything you say sound crazy, like you dreaming, you screaming and y-your head fell underwater and you stop breathing then-. You were so cold. I-I couldn't hear your heart. I thought-." He sniffled.
"I'm fine. You won't get rid of me that easy." I gave a weak smile as more people enter the room. Larry barely stops trying to free me as the people are finally able to start moving debris. I try pulling my legs free ignoring the pain until they finally come out from under the debris.
"Larry." I whispered pulling my leg towards me slowly correcting the angle of my knee and leg.
"Yeah?" He looked then ran over to me. "Lau, non." He started sobbing as I noticed the water turn red.
"I love you. This not you fault." I reach for my brother.
'You should have stayed.' Kate's voice said sadly in my head as Larry started apologizing to me, holding my head to his chest and slowly rocking back and forth. 'I would have given you happy memories. Now your last memories of this life will be this. I should have tried harder. I'm so sorry.'
"I'm so sorry." Larry sobs mixed with Kate's voice.
"Larry. Help me up." I grasped his arms
"NO! You do enough!" He cried into my hair
"Larry!" I hissed angrily.
"NO!" Larry yelled.
"Come on Larry I can’t feel my leg."
"Your leg," Larry whimpered, "is still under the debris." Larry sobbed and held me tighter. "I'm sorry I'm no strong enough."
"You are strong baby, and I love you." I said as my eyes shut.A/N: For those who maybe confused or missed my subtle hints, everything from the start of this happened inside Laurent’s head. Occasionally, Larry was able to break through and his voice is heard in Death's (Kate) fantasy world created for Laurent. All the characters were dead in this fantasy world except Larry and Laurent who was close to dying the whole time. Hope you enjoyed.
