It was a peaceful night in the region of Terith, as evening was just taking hold of the sky. A family of four, a mother, father, and two young daughters, one twelve, and one only a year old, were just settling in to eat dinner. Everyone was having a great time. Well, everyone, save for the older daughter. Though it did not show on her face, the oldest's emotions were filled with worry, for herself, and her family.
Just as they were about to sit down, a knock was heard at the door. The oldest froze in her seat. Please don't be him, please don't be him, PLEASE don't be him! She repeated in her head, over and over, praying that the one at the door was just a neighbor.
But that would just be too easy, wouldn't it?
The father opened the door to be met with what the older sister feared. A lone, bloody pikachu with black eyes and red pupils, looking starved and frail, was at the door, with a smile that would put Jeff the Killer's to shame.
The dad was instantly frozen in fear. For a little pokemon, that thing was terrifying! The father snapped out of it and tried to slam the door shut, but it was too late. The pikachu was already inside, and heading for the dining room. The father got in the way though, wanting to protect his wife and children more than himself, but he didn't last long. With one move from the pikachu's tail, the father was on the wall, a hole burnt through his chest and a glazed over look in his eyes.
The mother screamed, but the two children stayed silent. The younger was asleep, and the older was frozen in fear.
The pikachu did the same to the mother as it did the father, and walked up to the dinner table. It jumped on it, and sat in front of the older girl, a confident look on his face. The girl had tears streaming down her face as she looked up to the pikachu.
"BRVR.....why?" she mumbled, terrified of the pikachu in front of her.
"Why? WHY? You KNOW what you did, and yet, you ran away a second time! You deserve this, and much, much more!" BRVR shouted back, anger and jealousy swimming in his eyes. He turned his tail into pure iron. "Any last words?" He asked, with a sadistic smirk.
"I'm s-sorry."
"It's too late for that now." he said, frowning, as he swung his tail and sent her head flying off her body.
Her head thumped against the wall, and just as BRVR was about to leave, a voice was heard behind him.
"I thought you would do something like this."
BRVR turned to see the lord of the region whom he had feared would catch him. Luxol. (see picture above)
"She tortured me. It's only fair I got to kill her." BRVR explained, avoiding eye contact with the young lord.
"I can agree with that, but to kill her family is a trifle excessive." Luxol said, looking at the dead parents and child. "You do know what I'll have to do about this. I am truly sorry my friend."
"If you truly understood, you wouldn't try to imprison me!" BRVR yelled, finally looking his old friend in the eyes.
Luxol sighed, shaking his head. "You know the law. Only if you have reason, may you kill. Especially to humans. The girl was understandable, but because you killed her family, you must be imprisoned. It is law." He said, his horns starting to glow. Luminescent white chains formed around him, with shackles looming over BRVR.
BRVR growled, arching his back, his tail alight with electricity. "I really wish I din't have to do this to you, but if you insist on doing this I will have no choice!" he yelled, his electricity growing stronger.
Luxol sighed, his horns glow lessening. "Run, now. I wish not to harm you, but if you don't run now, I will be forced to imprison you immediately." he said, flashing a smile to his old friend.
BRVR did the same, his electricity lessening. "You always were an old softy weren't you?" he asked, turning and running out the door afterwards.
Luxol sighed yet again, the light of his horns and the luminescent chains fading completely. "I guess I am." he muttered, a small smile still playing on his lips.
He heard a cry resound next to him, the cry of a small child. He turned to see the younger girl in a high chair, still very much alive. He padded over to her, scooping her out of the high chair and placing her on his back. "You, at least, will have a chance at life." he said, walking through the home with her on his back. "Now, what was your name?"
She nuzzled into his fur, slowly drifting back to sleep. He walked into her room, hoping the family had something with her name on it. He found a picture of the whole family at a hospital. On the back was written:
Titanya's first day. Happy birthday little sis!
in the older sister's handwriting. "So that's your name. Titanya. Happy birthday, my new little girl." he said, walking out of the home. He stretched out his black wings, and made sure Titanya wouldn't fall off. He took off, flying to his mountain valley. Once he was there, he made a small nest of long grass for Titanya and laid her in it, making sure she was comfortable.
"You are now the Princess of the Terith region, and no one will ever harm you again. That is a promise."
