~To be your friend was all I ever wanted; to be your lover was all I ever dreamed ~
- Valerie Lombardo.***
"Can you get some sleep now? It's really getting late sweetheart" Her husband requested her for what seemed about tenth time. Sanyukta was busy in watching her favourite TV series. Brooklyn nine nine. It was cool.
"No. It's not me. The baby wants to see for some more time. I think the baby loves Jake. I can't do anything." She shrugged. Still feeling his stare on her she pouted and showed her puppy eyes. She had been using this trick on him from quite some time and it worked every time. She was so proud of it.
"Baby its midnight you need to sleep. The baby needs to sleep. Also that eyes are not working on me this time." He nudged her.
Randhir had returned from his office quite a few hours ago when she was in a deep sleep so without disturbing her he cooked dinner. Not that he cooks for everyone but his wife was exception.
He had cooked lasagna and some salad after toasting the garlic bread.
He hoped that she would eat healthy food but her food cravings always crushed his hopes.
They had their dinner after he woke her up and then he started to work on his files while she watching TV.
"But baby's mumma is tired and also her legs are aching." She pouted and let out a sigh.
He chuckled at her. He was really the one every women dreams of but he considered himself luckiest person only because he have his wife on his side.
"Okay Papa will carry mumma and baby." She smiled at him.
He was the perfect husband and a perfect person she desired of.
He switched of the TV and put his files on the desk board and carried her in bridal style to their room. Carrying a four month pregnant wife was easy for him but he did it very carefully like holding a glass doll.
He placed her on the bed of their bedroom. The soft bed quickly dipped as it absorbed her weight
"Good night mumma and baby"
Saying this he pressed his lips on her forehead and on her now grown tummy.
He settled beside her and she quickly snuggled to him. Her head was placed on his shoulder and his other hand on her tummy.
"Randhir whom are you expecting?" She asked him placing her hand on his that settled on tummy.
He smiled at her. She was not asking this for the first time it had been rolling on her tongue since the first time they came to know that she was pregnant.
He always answered her patiently but his answer never satisfied her.
"Sanyukta...baby I would really wouldn't mind if it's a girl or boy. But mostly I would love a have a daughter. The girl which would resembles you. I would like to watch my little daughter blossom into a strong, beautiful women. I want to see her in those same pigtails and pink frock with your beautiful eyes. She would look just like you..."
She cut him off and smiled amidst the tears in her eyes.
"You still remember that day, you know every detail from the first day you met me. Huh? I so love you" She kissed his cheek.
