Draco and Harry ran all the way to Draco's private room where they sat down in front of the fireplace and caught their breath.
"Do you think Pansy followed us all the way here?" Draco asked while panting.
"I don't know," Harry sighed, "We ran really fast but she could've guessed we were coming here."
"Yeah... It is a pretty obvious hiding spot." Draco added as he leaned back in his chair and looked into the fire, zoning out for a few minutes. Harry took this opportunity to admire his boyfriend.
'I can't Believe I actually get to call him my boyfriend now!' Harry thought and a bright smile spread across his face.
"What're you looking at?" Draco asked, snapping Harry out of his trance.
"You." He said simply.
"Why are you looking at me?" Draco asked cheekily with a small smirk.
"Because you're worth looking at." Harry answered without hesitation. Draco smiled and looked at his feet in an attempt to hide his blush. Harry didn't want Draco to look away so he took matters into his own hands, got up, and sat down in Draco's lap.
"Har-Wha- Harry, what're you doing?"
"Cuddling with my boyfriend"
Draco blushed again, but this time when he tried to look away, Harry slipped a hand to grab the back of the blond's neck. Harry angled Draco's face so their noses almost touching before closing his eyes and kissing his boyfriend softly on the lips. Draco's eyes fluttered closed and he put a hand on Harry's cheek to deepen the kiss.
When they pulled away Draco was the first to speak, "I don't want to hide our relationship, Harry, but I'm scared people will hate us. Well they already dislike me, but there's a large gap between hate and dislike."
"I don't want to hide either, Draco," Harry comforted him, "but you should definitely tell your parents first. And don't worry about the haters, okay?"
Draco nodded slightly and wrapped his arms around Harry's waist, pulling him closer, "I'm so happy I have you, Harry."
Harry smiled brightly and kissed Draco's nose.
"I know." he said cheekily, "And even if your right and a lot of the wizardig world is homophobic, we will get through it, together."
"I know we will." Draco said, "I'll owl my parents right now!"
"Alright, if you feel ready then go ahead." Harry chuckled at his boyfriend's excitement.
Draco, not wanting to spend any time without Harry's contact, used his wand to summon some parchment and a quill. He then dictated the letter and the magicked quill wrote it down on the parchment. Harry was quite the whole time and watched his boyfriend with proud eyes. Once the letter was written, Draco called his owl, whom he kept in his room and not with the other owls, and gave the bird his letter. Harry got out his wand and used it to open the window so the owl could fly towards Malfoy Manor and then he waved his wand again, closing the window and keeping out the cold wind.
"No going back now." Draco said quietly.
"You don't regret it do you?"
"No, of course not." Draco assured.
"Good," Harry turned a bit in Draco's lap so they were facing each other more and it was easier to talk, "Now we need to make a plan. How do you want to announce our relationship?"
"Oh, I actually have an idea for that!" Draco said with excitement evident in his voice.
"You're not scared anymore?" Harry asked, just to be sure.
"No, I know that you're all I need to be happy so I don't care what people think anymore." Draco said confidently.
At this point, Pansy, who had been listening on the other side of the door, practically melted from feels. Any plans she had on getting Draco back were discarded as she realized that Potter really did make Draco happy and she didn't want to ruin that. Pansy had thought before that she wouldn't care about anybody's feelings and would do whatever it took to get Draco, but now all she could think about was not letting out an "Awww" and giving away her position.
"So what's your plan?" Harry asked once they finished a, way too short, make-out session.
"We should start rumors that your gay, and rumors that I'm gay," Draco explained, "and then have someone see us walking together or holding hands or something. That person will spread the news and then during dinner tomorrow we could get up suddenly and be like 'I'm sick of these rumors!!!!!' and then we run up in front of the teacher's table and hold hands and confirm the rumors!"
Harry grabbed Draco's face and kissed him passionately.
"That's brilliant," He exclaimed after pulling away slightly, "You're brilliant!"
"Well..." Draco batted his eyelashes. Harry checked the time and saw it was getting quite close to dinner time.
"Draco, I'm have to go talk to Hermione before dinner, but I'll see you later, yeah?"
"Yes, we have detention today." Draco sighed.
"It won't be that bad because we'll be together!" Harry assured him and Pansy slid down the door onto the floor at the feels before realizing that if Harry was leaving the room, she had to get away quickly.
The rest of the day wasn't bad at all. Pansy didn't get caught but she also didn't make any plans to be to get Draco. Harry went to the Gryffindor common room and Hermione explained the situation with Ron's family so Harry owled the Weasleys, coming out to them but leaving out the Draco Malfoy bit. He then found Ginny and told her, she reacted just as Ron predicted she would. Dinner went smoothly and later Harry and Draco met up for their detention. They got through it quickly enough because they weren't at each other's throats the whole time and after two hours all the cauldrons they had to clean (without magic) were shinning brightly.
