A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Saturday off the coast of southwest Japan, triggering a small tsunami. The earthquake struck at 5:51 A.M. at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles) about 190 kilometers southwest of Kagoshima city, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
