(A/N: Prepare yourself for an extremely long chapter...sorry. Alsooooo, maybe some drama \(•-•)/)

The week went by pretty fast. I mean, nothing significant happened.  Yeah, I died a lot , but so did everyone else. Ceasefire day fell on the day I was supposed to be with Scout. Scout seemed a little upset, but after they told him that I couldn't make it up, he seemed extremely agitated. However, that didn't last long since he flew to Boston to see his mom, much to Spy's dismay. Demo spent the day going out with a "certain friend". Who? I don't know. Like he said, Snipes went out to Australia for the day, leaving me with the remaining mercenaries.
I woke up to find Heavy and the doc watching a movie in the living room we rarely use. "Good morning!" I greeted. greeted.
"Good morning, little girl," Heavy repeated, not taking his eyes off the small television screen.
"Vhat did you say?" The doc asked me. "I do not zhink I heard you correctly." There was a giant smirk on his face as I sighed.
"Guten Morgen, Medic."
"Zhat's better!"
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you mind if I watch with you?" I asked them. They shook their heads and I immediately sat between them on the couch they were on. They were watching a horror movie, one that I had never seen before. I tried my best to not show any signs of freaking out, but that horribly failed. Each time something happened, I would sometimes let out a tiny shriek or jumped in my seat. I ended up clutching onto Heavy's red shirt like a baby. He never flinched throughout the entire movie. Halfway in the movie, he offered me a "sandvich". I gladly thanked him and he got up to get one, leaving me alone with Medic. Spy soon came in and I asked him if he wanted to join us. He looked back at the screen and then at us. "What are you watching?" He asked. baby.
"The Ghastly Ones," Heavy told him, returning to his seat.
"And what's it about?"
"Three sisters arrive at their father's house, according to his dying wish. They are soon brutally murdered one by one." Spy shrugged. "Eh. Why not?" He sat down in an armchair next to the couch and watched. It was a good movie, with a surprising twist at the end. After the movie ended, Heavy left, leaving Spy,Medic, and I. I stared blankly at the screen while Medic was adjusting his glasses. Spy quickly took out a cigarette and lit it. Pyro came in the room and walked over to Spy. He began to tug on his $3,000 suit.
"What is it?" He asked him.
"Huddah huddah!" Spy sighed and got up, following Pyro out of the room. I continued to stare at the screen for a while before turning the TV off and leaving. I decided to go check on Soldier. He had came into the room earlier, shouting out that he was going to go train. I entered the training area, watching him blast his way into the air, striking down targets with a rusty shovel. I stayed in the corner, watching silently. After demolishing every single target we owned, I could tell Soldier was disappointed. I clapped, surprising him. "That was great!" I praised him.
"What are you doing here, pal?" He growled.
"Watching," I said, getting off the wall. "I'm about to go over to Teufort, though. Wanna come?" Soldier shook his head. "I have better things to do than going to that damned city."
"Aw. Oh well. I suggest you go buy more targets, then, 'cause I'm not buying us any." I walked over to the front entrance where my bike was. I hopped on it and begin my ride to Teufort. I've never been to Teufort before, and it's been a while since I've been out freely like this. I arrived at the town square, which was a literal dump. There was a single house there by a dumpster with a giant statue in it. I decided to go somewhere else and continued to ride my bike around. I managed to find a much nicer area of the town and parked my bike by a tree. I began to walk around, looking at every building and everything around. I walked past the bar when I heard a familiar drunk voice behind me.
"Ye ur a bonnie lassie. Come haur sae ah can-" his sentence was cut off by a hiccup. I turned around, expecting to see Demo. I saw Demo, but not the one I was familiar with. This was BLU Demoman. He was limping over to me, obviously drunk, with a bottle in his hand. Before I had time to react, he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer.
"HELL NO!" I screamed, kicking him in the crotch. He let go immediately. However, I fell to the ground. As I try to look up, a huge dust cloud blinds me momentarily, and I hear is another familiar voice yelling at BLU Demoman. Soon, I can see is a gloved hand extended towards me. I take it and the person pulls me up. I begin to rub my eyes to get the dirt out of them.
"Are you alright, ma chère?" I open my eyes to see the BLU Spy. Oh crap.
"Cra- y-yeah! I'm alright. Th-thank you, sir, for saving me."
"De rien," he said, with a smile on his face. BLU Spy took out a cigarette and offered it to me."Would you like one?" I immediately shook my head.
"N-no thanks. I don't smoke." BLU Spy shrugged and put in back in his disguise kit. "Well, " I began, backing away. "It was nice, I guess, running into you here...Au revoir!" I tried walking away, but BLU Spy caught up with me.
"Why don't I walk with you, mon amie. We're all friends here. At least, for today."
"No thanks! I'll be fine on my own," I insisted.
"Are you sure?" I told him I was completely sure then walked away. I heard him mumbling something, annoyed, before he walk away as well. I entered the library. It seemed like a peaceful place (unlike a lot of places in this town), but many of the people inside was extremely strange. I read a few books, but after an hour, I had to leave. I asked the librarian if I could check out a book and she kindly gave it to me.
"It's free book day, you know!" She said. The librarian examined me for a moment. "You know, I've never seen you around here before. Where did you come from?"
"I work with some people outside of town," I told her. She gasped.
"Them?! The mercs?!" Well, she obviously knew who I was talking about. I nodded. Suddenly, she gave me a bone crushing hug. "You poor soul!"
"M...a'm? You're...cho...king...me..."
"Oh my!" She immediately let go. "Sorry, sweetie. Well. I hope you enjoy your book!"
I turned around to leave.
"That poor girl..."

I rode back to the base, constantly looking back to see if I was being followed. I always had the feeling that I was being watched. I soon arrived at the base, and after parking my bike, I began to head to my room to read. I had gotten the story "The Three Musketeers" by Alexandre Dumas and was a little excited to read it. Spy stared at the book in my hands for a while. "And where did you get that?" He asked me, taking the book from my hands. He began to examine it, leaving no place left unchecked.
"The librarian gave it to me," I told him.
"Hm...really? The Three Musketeers..." He read aloud. Then, he looked back at me. "If you wanted to read this you could have asked me for a copy."
"It was in French, though," I pointed out. "You know I don't know that much French." He sighed and handed me the book.
"Very well. Dinner will be in an hour and classes resume tomorrow since everyone will be here." I nodded. resume tomorrow since everyone will be here." I nodded.
"Where are the others?" I asked.
"Pyro is with Engineer somewhere, Soldier is still training, Heavy is sleeping, and Medic is in the living room. Why do you ask?"
"Just wondering." I walked over to the living room and sure enough, the doc was on the couch, asleep. He was just sleeping on the couch with nothing over him. I walked over to a nearby closet and took out a blanket my mom had made me when I was seven. I still had it to remind me of her and the times I was younger. I walked back to the doc and carefully laid the blanket over him. He immediately snuggled up with it. Oh my God he is so adorable. I left the room once again and headed back to my original destination.
For an hour, I stayed in my room, reading. When the hour was done, I quickly exited my room and began to walk over to the dining area. I noticed the doc also walking over to the dining room. I ran over to him. "Hallo, Medic!" I greeted him. He smiled. greeted him. He smiled.
"Hallo, Tal." We walked together to the dining room, however after a while, he stopped. I stopped as well and looked back at him. "What's wrong?" I asked.
"Uh...ahem...Tal, I vas just vondering...zhis isn't really important but...vere you zhe vun who put zhe blanket on me vhile I vas sleeping?"
"Yeah," I said. "How'd you guess?" The doc began to blush a little, which sort of surprised me, but I said nothing about it.
"I remember you having zhat blanket over your head on zhe first day you arrived. Remember? To protect yourself from zhe rain? Vell, anyvay, danke. I really appreciate it. I left it in mein room, though. I'll give it to you after dinner,ja?" I smiled. "Sure!" I grabbed his hand. "But first we'll need to get to dinner! Come on!" I began to lead him to the dining area. Everyone that stayed behind was already here for dinner. The ones who left would either return tonight or early tomorrow morning, except for Snipes. Dinner was normal, except on my way out, I whispered to Engie that I needed to talk to him.

Sometime after, I headed to the doc's room to pick up my blanket. As I approached the door, I heard him talking to himself inside. Not knowing what to do, I listened. What I heard, changed the way I looked at Medic for a long time.

 (A/N: I am so sorry)

"Vhat are you doing?? You...you can't like her...Sie ist sechzehn! Sechzehn!" I heard him groan and collapse onto something. "Pull yourself together! She'll be here any moment now! Ugh..Ich brauche Hilfe..." I hesitated for a moment, staring at the dark brown door. The doc...likes...me?? I knocked. I heard shuffling inside before the door flew open. The doc looked at me, looking tired. His black and gray hair was messy and his small glasses were slightly tilted. "Oh! It's you! Um...let me go get zhe blanket." The doc turned around and quickly began to look through his room. One minute later, he arrived at the doorway, this time with my blanket on his shoulders. "Um...here you go," he said, handing it to me. I smiled. "Thank you!" I said. I felt bad for the doc. I felt extremely guilty for making him suffer through this feeling. I left to quickly put up the blanet, before going to Engie's workshop.

I open the door to see Engie working on a teleporter. He looked up at me and smiled. "You needed me?" he asked, imitating me. "Yeah..." He pulled up a chair and listened to me as I told him about what happened today in Teufort. "So, this is bortherin' ya?"

"THE BLU DEMOMAN TRIED TO KISS ME OR SOMETHING. YES IT IS BOTHERING ME.Anyway, something else happened as well..." I told him about the things I heard in the doc's room. " I know he's talking about me...who else would he like that's...sixteen?"

Engie nodded. "I understand. Just know that we haven't seen a girl here in ages besides Miss Pauling. And we all know how Scout feels for her. WE also know that them two will never happen."I laughed. "It'll be mighty fine, okay? I promise. I'll handle it." I hugged Engie. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" He chuckled. I let go and thanked him once again before leaving. As I passed the doc's room, I heard no noises. - Tal
