Tal (A Tf2 Fanfiction)

Entry 18

I know I was suppose to be with Heavy today, and I was for most of the battle. Soldier was making us treat this battle like it would be our last so we were supposed to try our best to not die. Well, I was just running into battle after dying and respawning when I saw the doc trying to heal some people. It was Engie and Pyro. I quickly ran over to the , a little worried. The doc was helping Engie while poor Pyro was laid next to him, moaning. I saw the BLU Demoman coming their way and I quickly shot him down with my mini gun (which is still extremely fun to shoot :3). He fell to the ground with a loud scream. I finally reached the three men. "Medic!" I yelled out. "What's wro-"
"Ve need to treat zhese patients and schnell!" The doc said.
"Why don't you use your medigun?" I asked. He handed me the medigun without taking his eyes off of Engie.
"Go ahead, try!" I pulled the trigger on it, but nothing came out. It was broken.
"Never mind, then!" I mumbled, throwing it away. "So, what's wrong with them?" I asked, kneeling down next to Pyro. The doc looked back and forth between the two patients. A bullet hit the ground by us and I quickly took out my shotgun. The BLU Scout was running towards us, with a smirk on his face. I shot at him, missing the first two times. I was finally able to shoot his leg off, which definitely caused him to fall down. I quickly put him out of his misery and turned back to the doc. "Pyro hat Kopfschmerzen und Engineer blutet! Pyro has a headache and Engineer is bleeding, BADLY!" He looked back at me. "Quick! Find me a medkit! I'll see what I can do. Now! Schnell! Schnell!" I nodded and quickly ran off to find a medkit. I somehow managed to dodge several bullets, especially with this vest on and gun in my hand. I managed to spot a medium sized medkit on the ground, however it was blocked by several BLUs. If I had shot at them, one of them would surely go for the kit. So, I quickly ran back to the only other place I could think of. The Spawn
Room. I ran to their as fast as I could. When I arrived, I swung open the supply closet and took out two giant kits. I ran back to them and handed it to the doc. He sighed. "You're a little late," he told me. "Engineer just died. Oh vell, he'll be back. Dankeschön, Tal. Pyro vill need it." I sighed as well.
"Okay, well if you need me, I'll be out in the battle fie-" I was cut off by an explosion and debris flew everywhere. Gunfire erupted as well. We lost the battle. "We gotta go!" I exclaimed. The doc nodded and together.mwe helped Pyro up and ran to the Spawn room, with him on our shoulders. There, the rest of the team was waiting.
"We lost once again, I see," Spy mumbled. "We better get our act together or at this rate we'll all be dead!" I frowned.
"We'll get better," I told him, placing Pyro on the bench. "You'll see!"
"Da. We'll get better. This was just...lucky time for babies."
Spy gave a small nod. "Mmhm...well, I'll see all of you in Hell anyway..." Spy took a glance at me before leaving. The rest of us followed behind him, one by one. I walked to the kitchen to get a snack and saw Demo taking something from the fridge. He took out a brown bottle of scrumpy and was able to drink it when he noticed me watching him.
"Um...hi...Demo...?" I said, waving. He quickly hid the bottle behind him.
"Oh, hi, Tal. What 're yee doin' here?"
"I was going to get a quick snack," I told him. "But, I'm okay now so..."
"W-wait!" Demo called out to me as I slowly backed away. "Can ya do me a favor, lassie? It isn't much."
"Um...sure?" Demo walked over to me with a serious face. He revealed the bottle of scrumpy and pointed it at me.
"Don't tell ANYONE about what you just saw, got it?" I tilted my head, confused.
"Why?"
"Soldier is bannin' me from drinking until after this 'last battle'. Thinks I should get used to not drinking for that battle. That bloody idiot," Demo spat. He looked me directly in the eyes with his...eye. "Now, don't. Tell. A. Soul." I backed away, since he was one inch from my face at this point.
"Okay,okay! I won't tell! You have my word!" I was about to leave the kitchen when I added: "But you probably shouldn't drink the week of the battle. We can't have you drunk out there, at least in some situations."

TRANSLATIONS!
Schnell = German for fast
Pyro hat Kopfschmerzen und Engineer blutet = German for Pyro has a headache and Engineer is bleeding. Just saying it again unless you didn't realize that he said the translations right after.
Dankeschön = German for thank you.
