Daniella watched with shock as Rico came closer, and finally, dropped onto one knee. His eyes were unmoving from hers and they bore even deeper as time passed by them.

Another second struck again, before Dani finally gained enough composure to ask, "what is going on?"

Rico remained quiet for awhile but slowly leaned closer to her and cleared his throat. "I really don't know how to start but... I'll start with the fact that I'm sorry. I mean, this is all my fault and I completely deserve you walking away right now, but will you hear me out?"

The response she lacked in words, she made up with a nod.

"For starters, you should know I never stopped loving you. I was trying hard to hide it but you didn't exactly make it easy because, honestly, you're too perfect to be ignored. And well... your mode of dressing didn't help. I mean, I'm not complaining or anything," he paused and brought a hand up to rub his neck, a ghost of a blush dusted his cheeks, "you were always wearing lingeries and you have no idea how long it took me to shower every morning..."

Her eyes wetted and she let out a low chuckle, basking in his shyness.

"All I'm trying to say is that... I want you back. As my heart and soul, my other half, the one I get to kiss freely and spoil endlessly..."

The loud sound of Nicki Minaj's Anaconda broke the air and Selma muted the television where the soap opera was playing. She first dabbed at her eyes with her fingers before swiping across the screen of her iPhone. With a sigh, "Lyn, why did you set Anaconda as your ringtone?"

"Morning, Selma. I'm peachy, thanks for asking."

Selma rolled her eyes. "Whatever. This better be good though, because I was right in the middle of Mi Corazon es tu Casa, balling my eyes for Rico and Daniella's reunion but you just had to interrupt. With Anaconda."

"That explains why you're snappy," Lyn said, "for goodness sake, Selma, stop watching that show. All it does is make you more stressed about Jamal—"

"—no, all it does is provide me with entertainment when I'm bored. That's why it's a soap opera, Lyn, you should really start watching them." Selma rose from her seat and walked into the kitchen where Rae had his hands deep into the bowl of batter, while Mia was cleaning the oven.

She reached with one hand to lift Rae away from the floor where he was sat as Lyn responded, "no, thank you very much. Speaking of entertainment, you mentioned in your previous text about some kissing. Oh. My. God."

Selma rolled her eyes again, both at Jocelyn's propensity to get excited over nothing and Rae's struggle to get back to his 'baking'. "Hold your horses, lady, we were going to."
