prologue

'oh my god i'm late i'm late why didn't i wake up earlier

because you were tired after last night

then why did you go out last night when you knew you started your new job today

because it was a surprise celebration from friends for me about my new job i couldn't say no'

i rushed down the road in the pouring rain when i finally reached the building.

i jumped through the doors and stood there shaking off the rain.

i walked up to the front desk and was looked up and down by a twig.

i mean a girl.

'can i help you?' the twi- girl said with an attitude.

'yeah i'm new here and i'm to pick up my badge' i said

'name?' she said.

'billie clarke' i said and she looked through some stuff and handed me a badge.

i hate my name.

my parents named me after someone from some witch show called charmed or something they made me watch it and we'll it's stupid.

i took the badge from her and walked off down to my office.

im actually really excited for this job it's really me and i can't wait to get started.

'oh my god sorry' a voice said and put his hand out to help me up from the ground.

i took hold of his hand and lifted myself off the ground.

i stood up and looked up at him.

'wow' i said under my breath.

i wonder of this guy works here he is beautiful.

'didn't mean to do that i was a but distracted' he said and smiled.

'no its fine so do you work here?' i asked him.

'mm not exactly but also kind of that's probably really confusing' he said and laughed.

'so what's your name?'

'mmm amy' i said thinking on the spot

'yeah that's it... amy valentine'

'lovely name' he said and smiled at me with his eyes glowing. 

'what is?' i asked sounding stupid.

facepalm.

'your name its beautiful amy valentine' he said and his eyes almost drew me.

'oh right yeah that's my name mmm thanks'

im making things awkward.

'and what's your name mystery guy?' i asked him.

'connor ball'
