All summer camps have the day where they take camp pictures.
Especially Camp Half-Blood.
Once a year in the summer (since that's when they get the most campers), they have a picture day. There is usually three separate pictures you have to take: a whole camp photo, a cabin photo, and an individual.
The individual pictures are the most interesting though. There is a camper, dressed fully in Greek battle gear, trying to look tough with weapon of choice raised. There is, of course, cardboard cut outs of monsters behind the campers.
They're supposed to make you look tough. And the do. For the most part...
Let's just say Percy's first year photo looks really funny. It still brings Annabeth to the point of tears because of her laughter.
