As soon as we stepped foot into the house my father told me to go to his office with him. I knew this was going to happen. I slowly started the journey to his office. If I was too late, then father would be furious, but I also do not want to be to early.

His office was in the west wing of the house. That was my parents side. It upset me that we had to have our own separate wings. Although I already knew they wouldn't want anything to do with me.

Trailing my fingers along the black wallpaper with white swirls, I looked up at the family portraits covering the halls. They were lined from newest to oldest. The most recent one I was not in. I guess I should be upset about that, but I understand

I approached the big mahogany door raised my fist and knocked twice. "Come in", called a deep voice from the other side.

Slowly turning the doorknob, I walked in with my head bowed. I his breathing wasn't too harsh, so hopefully his lecture would not bring me to tears. "Hello father", I said in a shy tone of voice.

"Please take a seat Alice", this is different he is being polite. I of coarse took a seat in the brown leather chair in front of his desk.

He must of seen the look I was giving him and said,"Do not get me wrong I am upset with what happened, but the my clients family took a liking to you. They would like to have dinner with our family again. In other words you did almost ruin things for me so we will be taking your books and computer out of your room. That is all".

I nodded my head quickly and got out of the room in a quick fashion. I did not want to be there if he changed his mind. I for sure thought I was going to be grounded. SHIT!!! I need my computer, we are suppose to write an essay on Death Of A Salesman. We were suppose to have it finished two days ago, but the essay and book just don't appeal to me. My teacher told me she would let it slide as long as I had it in for Thursday... Which just so happens to be tomorrow.

I quickly ran to my room and changed into some tights, a hoodie and uggs. I grabbed my book bag and ran to the den where I knew my mom would be. Great there she was sitting and reading a novel.

"Hello mother, I know father told me I could not use the computer, which I believe is a audible punishment. But I need to type an essay, so I was wondering if I can go to the library", I asked in a rushed tone.

"I will ask your father wait here for a moment"

I heard her heals slacking against the marble floors. Sometimes I don't understand why mother can not give me a simple answer herself. She always has to ask my father. I would never tell her that though. After three minutes I could here them both coming down the hall.

"When I said no computer I meant no computer", my father said as he strode into the room.

"Yes father I understand, but it's for school", I replied in a rush because the library was going soon.

"I SAID NO!! NOW GET PUT OF MY SIGHT", he yelled at the top of his lungs.

I couldn't not do this essay. I had to get to the library. I ran up to my room just for show, then I sneakily crept out the front door grabbed my bicycle and was on the way to my safe haven. Yes the library is my safe place. It never had a lot of people and my parents would never step foot in it.

The pushed one pedal down and the other shot up. I adjusted my gears so then it would be easier for me to get there faster. The library was a 10 minute bus ride at this pace. The scenery was the perfect thing to make the time go by faster.

The trees had that beautiful fall look. My favourite. I just thought the view was to die for. Pulling up to the bike racks is up not chained my bike up.
"Hi darling, you're here late today", Nancy the 50 year old librarian said to me.

Yes I know I just quickly need to write this essay. She told me that the place hadn't had anyone in it all weekend, which meant the computers were definitely empty. I nodded and said thanks to her. I was finally typing up a storm. I couldn't think of anything at first. Now I had this essay in the bag. I was listening to "Drown" by Bring Me The Horizon and my phone started to ring. That was odd.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU IT IS 11 O'CLOCK AT NIGHT", yelled a booming voice through the phone.
