Marshal yawned and looked at the bright sun shining into her bedroom. The two border collies by her feet--on her queen sized bed--were still sound asleep. So it was still too early to awake.

She looked over at the clock and smiled to herself as her black hair fell into her face.

Saturday.. It's been a week since, that moment with Edward..

She rolled over on her other side and grabbed her phone and saw that he too, was awake.

From: Jackass
6:24 a. m

Yo, you awake?

From: cupcake<3
6:35 a. m

Yeah, why?

I just didn't want to be the only one awake.

It's been a while since we've talked..

Yeah, Jonny and jimmy keep me busy so does the swim team, besides its not like you ever want to talk to me

I don't really care though, it's not like your important

I could care less either way dude I'm just a nobody sorry/

Yeah that's what I thought

Marshal sighed and felt Tex's paw scratch her leg since he had awakened with her,

Can you at least tell me why you don't pick on me. I've waiting and thought and waiting all this time and I just want to know..

A few minutes passed.

Edward?

Ig your asleep/sorry dickface.

She sighed and rolled back over away from her phone, and shut her eyes trying to do the same. Little did she know, all Edward was doing was trying to think himself why he didn't hate marshal.

"She's. Different," He questioned himself and looked out his bedroom window. Not even Kevin's lights were on.

"She's. Strange," he clenched his sheets in his hand and closed his eyes.

"She's all I can think about,"

A loud thud came from Kevin's living room, causing him to tumble out of bed and onto his floor. He snatched up a baseball bat that was oddly enough laying in his room, and he started for where he heard the sound.

He grunted to himself when he realized it was just his dumbfounded mother, who had dropped her wine glass making it shatter into a dozen of pieces.

"Fucking.. Idiot." He muttered to himself and watched as his drunken mother was asleep on the couch with wine by her side.

He grabbed the dust pan and started to sweep up the glass without harming himself, then stumbled into the other room--after disposing of the glass properly of course.

"I don't think I can go back to sleep," he grumbled and looked at his history homework he needed to get finished.

"I guess I'll do this," then grabbed his pencil pouch; brought out his pencil and started writing.

Marshal groaned and slipped on a jacket before heading outside to let the dogs out.

They jumped and barked and flipped about all around her, then when she opened the door they ran out to their backyard--which is fenced in--and started using all their energy.
