Ch Eight

"What gave it away?" I asked sarcastically

Kieran gave me a look over in bewilderment, "How?"

"I guess the transition finally took." I shrugged, "Thank God I wasn't buried to deep; the dirt taste awful."

"Well, I'm glad your alive and all, but I could have handle myself with those guards." Kieran pouted

"Oh really with one arm removed, with the other on its way and a cracking neck. Sure you had a real handle on things." I said rolling my eyes

"You know the transition didn't just make you more beautiful, but even more of an ass." He said

Soon I was pulled into a tight hug; with Kieran face in my neck.

"Kieran? Are you okay?" I asked

"I'm sorry. So so sorry Skye." He muttered

"For what?"

"It was my fault. I should have done more, during the birth. Having to rip open your stomach to get your little girl out. Who still doesn't have a name by the way. I can't imagine the pain you were in. I pain I caused." Kieran dried sobbed

Finally returning the hug; I told myself not to cry and pulled Kieran even closer to me.

"Kieran, you shouldn't be sorry. You save me AND my pups. I came out of this alive, because of your venom. I should be thanking you." I told him

Pulling away from the hug, Kieran looked straight at me and then leaned in closer. What the hell is he doing?!

"What the hell, Kieran!" I yelled pushing him away

"Trying to get two for two." He said shrugging his shoulders, "Sorry, I had a lot of sugar today. Plus you got to be starving. Before we meet up with the others, lets hunt shall we."

As he began to run, I stood in the same spot with a confused look on my face. What the hell did that mean? Two for two. Then it hit me. No...no way! Kieran and Dara...well I suspect Dara, never know, but did they kiss? Kieran came running back to me and put his hands on his hips.

"What's taking so long? We need to hurry this up if we want to meet up with Dara, JD and the pups before they get to far." He said

"D-did you and Dara kiss?" I asked shocked

"Huh? Oh yeah, she's in love with me. Didn't you know?" He smirked

"AND YOU TRIED TO KISS ME!" I screamed at him

"Seemed like the right moment, but can we continue this conversation while we find something to eat." Kieran pled

*Third POV*

"He should be back or at least caught up to us by now." Dara said pacing back and forth

"We need to keep going. Head for Forks, that was the plan." JD said petting one of the pups

"So we just leave him then! After all his help." Said Dara

"He knew what he was getting into when he sent us off and when he decided to help Skye! So stop biting my head off!" JD growled

The pups whimpered at the arguments between the siblings, as they seem to understand what they were saying.

Sighing JD looked up at his sister with confused and loving eyes, "Darlene why is it so important about Kieran coming back, besides the obvious. Did you...."

"No. No I didn't imprint and I don't like him that way. Its just he been with us the last few weeks, part of the pack and we haven't been in one in so long." She cried, "I'm just tired of losing people, I guess."
