Chapter four : I can't remember

The smile didn't leave my face the whole way back to my room , I was beaming. Boys usually didn't pay any attention to me but now that someone flirted with me and I felt like I was on top of the world . I know flirting wasn't that big of a deal and it wasn't like we were dating or anything , hell I've only met him once , well whatever I still felt noticed and I was loving it. Once we got back to my room mom helped me back into my bed the mattress wasn't soft or comfy like the one at home but it was the best I was gonna get I layed back on to three white fluffy pillows , at least they were comfy. I opened my bagel and took a bite . My stomach growled so loudly. I finished my bagel in less than three minutes then burped so loud I'm pretty sure the next floor heard me. My mom giggled and blew on her hot drink.
"Mom? " I asked.
" Yes ? " she responded.
"I can't remember my middle name!" I realized with a shock.
" What do you mean ?" She asked . With a worried expression plastered on her face
" I don't know I just can't remember it!" I exclaimed
" Hold on baby , I'll go get the doctor !"
My mom ran out of the room. Yelling for the doctor.
My mom came scrambling back in with the doctor close behind her he came and bent over close to me and asked me a couple questions
Like ,
- "Where do you live ?"
- " What's your brothers name ?"
- "What elementary school did you go to ? "
- "What's your favourite colour?"
Once he finished asking me a series of questions some of which were easy an some of which were so difficult I had to pass because I couldn't remember the answer but the bad thing was that they were questions that most people can answer without having to think to much about it .
He walked out to the front desk spoke with a nurse and came back into the room. He turned to my mom and said " I think your daughter may have brain damage and that's why she's having trouble remembering things , but we're gonna do a CAT scan and see what's going on but it's gonna be a couple hours until then so we're just gonna need you to stay calm and relax until then it could be nothing but we just need to be certain , ok so hang in there I'll be back to speak with you both in a bit ." He glanced at me, nodded and then walked out of the room and then I dozed off .
