Millie's P.O.V

I slid on my black leggings and my pink Nike trainers. I was finally ready for the lockdown. There was a knock on the door of my hotel room.

"It's Jay are you ready?" a voice called from outside the door.

"Nearly can you give me five more minutes. You can come in if you want the door is unlocked" I shouted as the door opened and I ran around the room holding my hair with one hand looking for my hairbrush. I finally found it. I brushed my blonde hair and pulled it up into a high ponytail. I threw the brush back on the bed and grabbed my pink hoodie. I tied I around my waist.

"Cute" Jay said smiling at me.

"Thanks" I said as I felt the colour run into my cheeks. we walked out of the room and I shut and locked the door behind me. we reached the lobby were Zak, Aaron and Billy were stood waiting.

"Sorry I'm late I lost my hairbrush." I said apologetically.

"It's fine. First we'll get something to eat and then go on the lockdown. Millie we'll introduce you before the lockdown and you're going to be in base camp for most of the investigation" Zak said and everyone nodded. I wasn't bothered that I was in base camp it meant more time with Jay. Jay and Billy walked off ahead and Zak and Aaron hung back to walk with me.

"What's with the really obvious blush? Don't try and pass it off as make up either, we know it's not." Zak asked for the both of them

"Jaymightofcalledmecute" I said blushing even more.

"When?" Aaron asked. I knew I didn't need girlfriends when I had these two they were the equivalent.

"When he came to knock for me I told him to come in just whilst I finished getting ready. I was running around like a weirdo looking for my hairbrush. When I had done my hair I tied my hoodie around my waist and he just said cute" I said. They smiled and looked at Jay walking ahead of us with Billy,

"Are you okay with being in base for this lockdown?" Zak asked and I nodded.

"Yeah it's fine I mean every paranormal group works differently so I need to see how you guys work even though I've seen it through a TV screen." I said and they smiled. I had been a big fan of Ghost Adventures ever since it first aired in 2008. Suddenly my phone rang in my pocket. I answered it without looking at the caller ID.

Mum: Hi darling

Millie: oh hi mum is everything okay

Mu: Yeah everything is fine it's just your dads worried so he wanted me to check on you

Mi: Can you put him on please

D: Hi princess how are you

Mi: I'm fine dad no need to worry about me

D: I can't help worrying how are those guys treating you

Mi: Fine dad they're all really nice and welcoming. I need to go we've just reached the restuarant

D: okay sweetheart i'll ring you tomorrow

Mi: okay love you dad

D: Love you too baby girl

Mi: bye mum love you

Mu: Love you too. Stay safe

Mi: Will do. I'll ring you soon

Then I hung up the phone and slid it back into my pocket. We walked into the restaurant and waited to be seated. Finally a guy came over to us.

"How can I help you?" He asked looking directly at me

"Can we have a table for five please" Zak said standing in front of me so the guy couldn't see me. The guy grabbed five menus and lead us to a table. We all sat down and he gave us each a menu. As he handed me mine he slid me a white piece of paper with it. I unfolded it and sighed. I gave it back to the guy.

"Would you mind hitting on my girlfriend" Jay said wrapping an arm around my waist.

"As if someone as beautiful as her would go out with someone like you" The waiter said and I looked at him.

"How dare you. At least he has what it takes to be a real man and all you an be is a sleezy waiter that hits on women that are taken by very handsome people" I said looking at him. Then I stood up and walked off the rest of the crew following behind me. When we got outside I stopped.

"Thank you for doing that you didn't have to" I said to Jay.

"No problem" He said smiling as we all walked back to the hotel. We all jumped in the car and set off to the location.
