Chapter 3

Millie's P.O.V

We finally reached the location for the lockdown and I smiled. I jumped out of the car and breathed filling my lungs back up with air. Zak smirked at me and the others just raised their eyebrows.

"Tell you what do you want to swap places on the way back to the hotel" Zak said and I nodded and smiled. I don't know what happened but ever since that thing with Jay back at the restaurant he's been closer and he keeps staring at me. Don't get me wrong I like it but it's a little creepy. We walked over to Edinburgh Manor and I looked up.

"It's georgous" I said with a small smile. Jay and Aaron started rolling on their cameras and I stood in my allocated spot. I watched Zak doing his thing and smiled. Suddenly a hand contacted my hip and a thumb rubbed patterns on it. I shivered slightly and looked up to see a smirking Jay. I looked at Zak and acted as if I didn't notice anything.

"Before we start the lockdown I want you all to meet the newest member of the crew Millie. she'll be another investigator but for tonight she'll be in base camp." Zak said and both Aaron and Jay turned their cameras to me. I smiled and waved at the camera and saw Zak nod his head in approval. The cameras turned back on Zak as he began walking into the building. I followed Aaron with Jay following me and Billy following him. We all went to base where Zak gave Aaron and Billy their instructions. Soon they all left and I was left with Jay in base camp. I turned to face him.

"How come you did that back there in the restaurant instead of just leaving me?" I asked my eyebrows connecting making him chuckle.

"Well I don't like to see pretty girls in troublesome situations so I did what any friend would do. But in all honesty I really like you" He said pulling me onto his lap so I was straddling him. I looked into his eyes and smiled as he pulled my head closer to his. I smiled and finished what he had started. Sparks shot through my body like an electric current and his hands slowly caressed my sides. He stood up from the office chair he was sitting in making sure to not disconnect our lips. His hands roamed their way to the knot of my hoodie. He undid that and threw it to the floor. Then his hands went under my shirt and he lifted it off leaving me in just my bra. I lifted his shirt over his head and traced his chest muscles. he de-tatched his lips from mine and moved them down to my neck in desperate search of my sweet spot.

Let's just say what happened after that is for you to find out and me and Jay to know. The walkie talkie clicked off as I stood up. Jay heard what I didn't and he looked at me.

"Looks like Zak, Aaron and Billy got a show" He said picking up the walkie talkie. I looked at him trying to realise what he meant and then it clicked. We had done that and Zak, Aaron and Billy could hear us. I quickly stood up and threw my clothes on making sure my hair looked okay. I didn't know if I could look at any of them the same again. I sat back down in my chair and didn't say another word until the lockdown was finished. When we were unlocked from the building I collected my share o the equipment and walked out to the car with it. I opened the boot of the car and put it in. Zak walked past and put his equipment in the boot as did Aaron. They looked t me and sat me down on the edge of the boot.

"I'm really sorry I know I let you down. I promise it won't happen again" I said and Zak looked at me shocked. He sat down next to me and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"Hey I would never fire you for doing that it was just a mistake and you're a really good investigator so don't tell anyone else but i'll look past any mistake you make just to keep you on this team." He said and I smiled and pulled him into a hug.

"What are you doing?" Jay asked as he and Billy put their equipment in the boot of the car.

"Zak was just talking to me. Why you asking" I said and he looked at me.

"We just had sex and now you're off hugging every guy you can find. I should have know it was too good to be true. You're just like Ashley" He said storming off to his side of the car and getting in slamming the door behind him. Billy came and pulled me into a hug and for some reason that made the tears fall.

"Don't listen to him you are nothing like Ashley." Zak said and Aaron nodded in agreement.

"Who's Ashley?" I asked as I wrapped my arms around Billy as he rubbed comforting circles on my back.

"Ashley is Jay's ex wife. There were together for about 8 years and then one day he came home form reviewing footage and he found her in bed with another guy." Billy said and I gasped.

"So basically he's just called me a cheater even though we aren't in relationship" I said and the guys nodded. I pulled away from my hug with Billy and got in the passenger side of the car. The others got in after me and the whole ride was silent. No one spoke afraid they might say the wrong thing or say something that would make Jay blow up. I sat in the front texting my best friend as the tears clouded my vision. I don't understand guys I really don't. I knew Sophie would know what to do. She was sort of an expert on boys and she helped me with all of my boy problems. I glanced up and at Jay in the mirror of the car. I saw the hurt and the pain cross his face when he saw I was crying. Finally Billy pulled up to the hotel and I jumped out of the car and ran to my room. I could hear footsteps following me but I decided to ignore the. I ran to my room and opened the door. I walked in then locked it. I didn't want so see anyone at the minute. I threw myself facedown on the bed and cried. Soon there was hammering on my hotel room door.

"Millie please open up I didn't mean anything I said back there" Jay pleaded with me through the locked door. I ignored him as I continued to sob into the covers of the hotel room bed. The hammering got louder and then I heard three other voices trying to reason with Jay. By the sounds of things he wasn't bugging now and he wouldn't be for a while.

"No guys i'm not leaving this door until I apologise to Millie. I never meant what I said I was just annoyed that I came out and saw her hugging Zak." He said. I could just picture Zak inserting an eye roll here.

"Save it Jay do you know how upset she is. You compared her to your ex wife after shagging her one time. How are you to know you two will even end up in a relationship after the way you've treated her this morning." Zak said as the hammering continued.

I don't really remember much after that. I think I must of fallen asleep. One thing I never wanted to fall asleep to again in the future was Jay hammering on a door trying to apologise. I also never wanted to fall asleep crying again but even I knew that was pushing it. There was always going to be something in life that makes you cry yourself to sleep. Mine at that moment of my life was Jay Wasley and for some strange reason I liked it.
