Aira can feel her whole body trembling, not because she was intimidated that they are facing a powerhouse and an international favorite, but because of excitement.

Speaking of that, their team is also a powerhouse--The best of all, to be exact.

She brought the whole team to the finals and won the championships for three years in a row. However, being victorious never stopped her desire to win.

She never lost her passion in winning.

Add the fact that this soft kind of greed will actually boost their chance to win this year's championship.

She stood at the front of the mirror as the side of her lips turned into an eager smile. Confidence started to flood her mind and not mere boastfulness.

Be dominant and not arrogant.

That's what she always told herself. In order to achieve what she is now, she constantly reminded her young self to implore the virtue of humility.

The door behind her suddenly opened and revealed her hot-blooded battery mate. "Aira! C'mon!"

Uh-oh.

Her train of thoughts stopped after hearing that voice. She then took quick glances around the room till she spotted the wall clock.

It was already half past three. She spent the whole time out reflecting in front of a mirror instead of collaborating with her catcher.

"Ehh, Sorry." She threw him an apologizing smile and scratched her hair due to embarrassment.

It was obvious that her partner didn't accept her apology though. He banged the door shut, leaving Aira alone and earning a silent grumble from her.

"You'll open the door but in the end you'll close it so suddenly? You're a silly one too, huh?"

She started packing up her equipment and made her way towards the dugout, just in time in hearing the stadium's audio:

"The game will be starting in a minute. All players are now required to go back to the dugout in preparation for the next inning."

A bubbly giggle erupted from her pink, rosy lips. Remembering her current as a pitcher and as the ace gave her more excitement.

She's the starter, and the finisher.

"Batting next is Aira Yoshida, Pitcher."

Her name echoed around the whole stadium, making the audiences return to their excited faces. Some people even stood up just to get a clearer view of her as they anticipated her next move.

She had always been so unpredictable which made her turn into an athlete that others are afraid to face.

Positioning herself in a batting stance, she sensed the nervousness yet courage of the pitcher who stood in front of her.

The rival's team managed to score one homerun from the last inning. Thanks to Aira's silly mistake, but luckily, it didn't affect her a bit.

Her undying dignity pressured the other team more.

The pitcher curved his body and threw a forkball to the outside. Aira, in turn, didn't even fidget a little.

"Strike!"

Her lips turned into a bright smile, quite impressed with the other pitcher's might. But inside her mind, she asked herself two basic questions:

Should I go for a far hit or a homerun?
