He lashed his tail Birchpaws eyes were filled with hate.
Brightpaw felt like running away, some of the Thunderclan cats turned to stare at her. Most of them growled as she looked at them with clouded eyes. Brightpaw backed away and flattens her ears shrinking down.
"Foxstar is a coward," Willowstar hissed "you think you can just accept Kittypets and rogues like they were your best friends and then send them off to do your deeds?!?" Willowstar's fur was fluffed out and her nose twitched. Darkness engulfed the clearing of cats and everyone gasped
"Can't you see?" A voice yowled above the others.
"Starclan is furious! They blocked out the moon and the stars!" Brightpaw recognized the angry gruff tone of her leader. Her eyes adjusted and the other leaders seemed to look as surprised and stunned as ever.
"The gathering is over!" He growled hissing at Willowstar before jumping down and sweeping his tail for the rest of the clan to follow. He padded over to Brightpaw and she soon noticed that Gingerpaw and Pikepaw had left.
"Come with me," he said steadily looking ahead at the log.
Brightpaw was too stunned to comprehend what had just happened and millions of thoughts echoed through her head.
"Brightpaw?" He hissed looking down at her with a concerned look.
She looked back up at him
"Is that why they don't like me?" Brightpaw muttered.
Foxstar glanced at the other cats that were leaving.
"There are a few things I need to explain to you, now follow me" he padded towards his deputy, Snakeheart and muttered something to him.

Foxstar had led Brightpaw to a small clearing with a stream trickling through it, he leaped onto a rock and curled his long fluffy tail around his russet coloured paws.
"Your father," he started as she sat down in front of him.
"Was a rogue named Robin, he was an old friend of mine and I let him and two of his litter mates shelter in our camp for a quarter-moon," he paused
"A quarter-moon before you were born." Foxstars gaze turned down to her.
"Oakleaf is your foster father, and while Robin was visiting he fell in love with Mossfall. Your mother, and before she had you he had to leave. Riverclan must've found Thunderclan scent on them.." Foxstar looked over at the bushes, they quivered and Smallwhisker jumped out, fur spiked with dew.
"Foxstar! Silentleap is kitting!" She said panting as he looked at her.
Foxstar jumped up and skidded out of the clearing with Brightpaw on his tail.
"I thought she wasn't due until next moon?" She mewed casting a sideways glance at Foxstar.
He shook his head
"She was due earlier, and moved to the nursery late!" He searched for words to explain as they burst through the thorn barrier and slid down to the nursery. Brightpaw stopped at the entrance and decided to leave them be. She yawned and padded to the apprentice den only to be stopped by Birchpaw.
"You can't sleep in there" he hissed baring his teeth and flattened his ears blocking her way. Brightpaw stared into his gaze and sulked away into the forest ignore the frantic mews coming from the nursery. Every little sound seemed to fade as she walked into the forest and all her worries vanished to the back of her mind. The sky was dark blue that shifted perfectly to a lighter blue gradient, the clouds looked as if they were stained blue and the moon was no more than a sliver shining brighter than the other stars. Brightpaw climbed a tree and laid down on a branch, looking into the sky imagining what starclan looked like.
Are they watching me now? She wondered lifting her head. Suddenly, she thought could hear a faint voice calling to her.
Brightpaw
It called quietly.
She closed her eyes and ignored it.
Brightpaw!
The quiet voice grew to a loud whisper in her ear and she sat up feeling irritated that she couldn't get any sleep, but when she opened her eyes she wasn't in the tree anymore.. She was standing in a clearing in the middle of a forest.
Brightpaw!
It hollered again. She whipped around to see a dark orange tabby tom cat. He was lean and muscular, his pelt shone with stars and his eyes looked older than he looked. A smile spread across his muzzle and he stood up padding towards her.

Brightpaw stared in astonishment as she realized where she was.
Starclan!!
Her eyes widened as the tom approached. The starry cat dipped his head gracefully and then spoke.
"I am Ross," his voice was surprisingly smooth and calm.
Brightpaw stared up at Ross
"Why am I in starclan?" She asked calmly glancing around looking for any signs of other cats.
A purr rumbled in his throat "no one else is here" Ross said and Brightpaw felt as though he had read her mind. She squinted,
"Why do you not have a clan cat name?" She questioned eyeing him carefully twitching her tail.
"I am not from around here, I am from far away" his eyes glittered.
Brightpaw blinked waiting for him to go on.
"You are to go on a journey soon, to the far away place where I once lived." He took a breath.
"My kin has created a clan and I need you to help with the prophecy they are struggling with.. They are having a rough time" Ross paused looking into the distance, his eyes glazed with fear. "With a..unwanted group of..." he searched for words that wouldn't give it away
"Intruders" he gulped.
Brightpaws eyes were round and her mouth hung open at the words he spoke. Starclan wants me to help?! But I'm just a rogue! Her thoughts echoed through her head.
"Your not just a rogue," Ross stared down at her with his light blue eyes
"Your more than a clan cat, one day you will faced with more trouble than any Starclan cat"
With the end of Ross's sentence she was woken by the quiet him of a bee buzzing by her ear. Brightpaw blinked the sleep out of her eyes and sat up washing down her ruffled pelt and making her way down the tree.

It was Sunhigh by the time Brightpaw got back to camp although she fell asleep it felt like she hadn't gotten one second of rest and she was still tired. Brightpaw stopped and caught a squirrel to bring with her, the clan was too quiet and every cat seemed to be ignoring her. Even Mossfall was acting like she wasn't there, but after a bit she swished her tail over Brightpaw's back and gestured towards the entrance. Oakleaf followed alongside her as they walked out.
Brightpaw sat down on the opposite side of her and curled her tail neatly over her paws.
"I'm expecting Oakleaf's kits" she said after a moment of awkward silence.
Brightpaw's eyes were round with shock and yet excitement.
She was going to have siblings! A smile stretched across her dappled face.
