I woke up to the sound of a high-pitched squeal beside me(A/N when I wake up, I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be....okay, sorry). "Mama, why aren't her eyes open yet?" Great, I thought,I have a brother. "Hush, Whisperkit, she'll open them when she's ready." You know,for his name, he isn't very quiet. Just to get him to be quiet, I blinked open my eyes and immediately closed them again. It's way to bright out here, I thought. "Did you see that?Did you see that,Mama?She opened her eyes!Now we can play together!" Whisperkit continued chanting, while my mother tried to get me to open my eyes again. "Come on, Wolfkit,it's Dovestrike, your mother. Open your eyes now, poppet." I reluctantly opened my eyes,and stared up at her.She was a light grey colour, with one white ear.Her eyes were a bright golden, and seemed to be taking in my every feature. "Oh, sweetie, your father would love you." I wondered what happened to him, but my train of thought was cut short by Whisperkit running up to me. "Can we play now?"he asked. I staggered to my paws, and mewed,"What are we playing?" He responded,"Let's ask Frozenkit and Snakekit!" He trotted over to another queen, and asked,"Tigerblaze, can we play with Frozenkit and Snake kit?" She said yes, so Whisperkit and I went up to two kits. They seemed about the same age as us, one white and the other brown."Hey, Whisperkit," the brown kit mewed cheerfully,"you wanna play?" "Yeah Snakekit,that's what we came to ask about. You wanna play Warrior training?" I stared at them as they demonstrated how to play. Turns out Frozenkit just opened her eyes today, too. "Wolfkit, you can be partners with Frozenkit, and I'll go with Whisperkit." "But Snakekit, shouldn't I go with Whisperkit and you go with Wolfkit?So you guys can teach us." So we switched the partners around, and began playing.Almost immediately after we started play fighting we rolled out of the den. We looked up, and all we saw was the hulking shape of a warrior. As it stared down at us, all we could say was, "Oops."
