Juvia's POV:
The next day, Juvia groggily opened her eyes and rubbed them, blinking multiple times to adjust her vision. Her eyes felt dry, and sore. She knew it was from crying so much the previous day. She could only imagine the red and puffy appearance they must have. Sitting up, she tiredly looked around the room. Unlike usual, the sun didn't stream through her windows, casting the happy shadows of flying a birds and rolling clouds that she seemed to love. Instead, a dull gray color streamed in, and rain solemnly tapped against her window panes.
She sighed, and looked down at her hands, furrowing her eyebrows. Is Juvia so bad...? Why is Gray-Sama so determined to just stay Juvia's friend? Perhaps he doesn't really like her at all, and this whole "Teammate, friend" thing is a comforting cover up? Her thoughts swam around in her head, causing it to ache slightly.
She just couldn't understand. What was so wrong with her to make Gray not want her? In an attempt to stop the relentless flow of negativity, Juvia swung her legs over the side of her bed and got up, stretching slightly. She walked to her closet, but paused at her body length mirror. She stared into it. She was right.
Her eyes were red and puffy, and her face was flushed. She gave a weak smile to herself, before silently looking away and continuing on to her closet. Juvia understands the circumstances, but... She's still determined to make the best of everyday! Whether that involves... Gray-Sama or not... she cringed sadly at his name, even as it seemed to echo hopelessly in her mind. Friends. That can't be all that bad... Can it?
Juvia walked silently, and slowly to the Guildhall. She held her pink heart umbrella lazily over her head, not in the mood to drench her self in the rain. Once inside the guild, she closed her umbrella, laying it down somewhere near the door. She nervously scanned the sea of guild members, trying to pin down the particular boy whom she always caught herself watching. He was standing in the center of the guild, arguing as he always did, with Natsu and Gajeel. Juvia's heart fluttered, and she couldn't stop the heavy flow of rain that began to pour down outside.
"Control yourself, Juvia..." She muttered, closing her eyes and taking a deep breathe. "Gray-Sama is still friends with Juvia....there's no need to get worked up." She opened her eyes, attempting to force an airy smile, but almost immediately failing as a couple other guild members walked up to the trio in the middle of the guild. She couldn't help but pick up their conversation.
"Hey it's been pretty rainy lately, huh?" One of the men that Juvia didn't bother to pay attention to said.
"You got that right. Why you think that is? It's almost always sunny in Magnolia." Another man said, sounding a little confused.
"Hey, how much you wanna bet its Juvia in one of her moods again?" Natsu claimed laughing, much to Juvia's surprise.
"What do you mean, Flamebrain? She's always in some weird mood. Whether it has to with something completely random, or Ice princess over here." Gajeel retorted, and they all erupted with laughter. Even....Gray.
Juvia felt her stomach drop, and her face turn red. She clicked her tongue angrily, furrowing her eyebrows and biting her lip. Anger pulsed through her veins, as the rain outside unconsciously lost its bitter cold touch, and began to kiss the ground with sizzles of heated water.
Juvia stared the group down her eyebrow very slightly twitching. Gray-Sama knows the reason why it's been raining so frequently...yet he laughs at Juvia's humiliation? She couldn't believe her ears. She stood there, letting a heated red color engulf her. Moods? They believe Juvia is just moody.... at that moment, she clenched her fist shut. Almost as if it were in sync with her movements, a large clap of thunder permeated through the guildhall, gently shuttering the doors.
