Juvia's POV:
Juvia laid in her bed that morning, staring at the ceiling. She had been at it for an hour, just laying there and staring at her plain, white, ceiling. Her head was swimming with thoughts, and she just couldn't seem to will herself to get up and shake them away. She wanted to remember. More than anything at the moment. And more importantly, she wanted to know who Gray was.
Of course, she already knew Gray. They go and do things together everyday, and still...she doesn't remember a thing about him. All she knew, was he was supposedly important to her. And knowing that gnawed at her each day. The eagerness of wanting to know, almost physically painful to her.
But something else was there. Something in the back of her mind that told her she didn't want to remember, and she was better off like this. Of course, she ignored it. What an absurd thought to have. Suddenly, her eyes shifted to her closet.
She knew that her and Gray hadn't found much in there, but....there was a box, on the top shelf, that Gray didn't let her look in. Curiously, she threw her legs over the side of her bed,and strode over to the closet door, tearing in open. Her small hands drifted to the box and slid it off the shelf, setting it on the floor.
She sat down in front of it, staring at it, and taking a deep breathe, before quickly opening the flaps. What was inside, caused her to blink utter awe, and confusion. What the-? A bunch of....dolls? she picked one up and examined it, blushing as she made the connection.
Why on Earth would I have a bunch of dolls that looked like Gray? She dug through the box a little more, pulling out pink towels, and mugs, whatever you could imagine with his name, or face on them. She picked up one of the towels and examined the name on it. "Gray....-Sama...?"
The more she stared at it, the more confused she became. Until, it hit her. Hard. A memory, of her and Gray. It was enough to make her blood boil. They were outside of the guild, and it the sky was overcast with multiple dark clouds. They were talking, and Juvia knew in the memory she was trying not to cry.
You're my friend....my teammate. But...I'm not entirely sure that I can view you as anything more.... the words rung in her head painfully, and she clenched her eyes shut. Then that image faded, and a new one appeared. One of Juvia soaking wet, and sobbing her eyes out as she tore everything off of her shelves, and dressers, anything with Gray on it, and shoved it into this box.
And then, it was gone. Juvia sat there for a long moment, staring at the box. Finally she got up, and kicked the box away, holding her head in her hands. Of course...how could I not see this before? she thought, as she went into her bathroom, and looked in the mirror.
Her face was pale, paler than usual that is, and her eyes had bags under eyes. Huffing, she frowned, and furrowed her eyebrows, tearing her eyes away from her reflection. Gray...hurt me. He broke my heart, shattered it into a million pieces. just then, she clenched her fist and looked down. I want nothing to do with him!
Grays POV:
Gray had been there for hours, sitting at the bar stool and drumming his fingers on the counter. Sighing, he looked at the clock. 5:50? Jeez...maybe Juvia's just not coming today. That's strange. She comes everyday... he shifted his eyes away, and frowned, not noticing Mirajane stride up beside him.
"Are you waiting for Juvia?" She asked, causing him to jump, and turn to look at her. "Jesus Mira, you scared the shit outta me!" He claimed, which only earned a giggle and a shrug from her. "Sorry...I guess I have quiet footsteps." She replied innocently, as he sighed and looked away again.
"Yeah, I guess so..." Mira watched him and smiled sadly. "Maybe she just wanted to stay home today? You have been dragging her around all week. Maybe she needed a break." She suggested, and Gray looked up at her, before nodding. "Yeah, maybe." He said before getting up.
