Lela woke up at 2 am in the morning. She looked around and she walked out of the room. Everyone was asleep. Lela walked down the stairs and saw Sam passed out on the couch and Dean on the floor. She walked to the kitchen and started making a sandwich, when Castiel popped up behind her.
"You're awake?" asked Castiel, scaring the crap out of Lela.
Lela jumped and the plate smashed onto the floor. The whole thing startled Sam and Dean and they bolted up, the demon blade in Dean's hands and a gun with rock-salt bullets in Sam's hands. They both looked at Castiel and Lela.
"Are you okay, Lela?" asked Sam.
"Yeah. Castiel just scared me. Now I have to make a new sandwich." sighed Lela.Lela started cleaning up the mess, when Sam came over and helped clean up the mess. Dean took Castiel outside to talk to him. After they left, Sam looked at Lela.
"So other than, waking up the whole house at 2 am, except for Bobby, what's up?" said Sam.
"I was hungry. And since I may be living here until I die, might as well get use to my surroundings. Since I'm here now, what's the next step?" said Lela.
"Well, we need to show you how to protect yourself while we try to figure out how to stop you from turning in a demon." said Sam.
"Okay. We'll start tomorrow after we wake up." Lela was ready.Lela was ready to fight. She didn't want to become a freak of nature and she wanted to get revenge for Katie's death. After Lela was done eating, Dean and Sam fell asleep. Castiel was no where to be found. Lela walked around Bobby's library and found a book sitting on Bobby's desk. She picked it up and looked at the book. It looked like a journal. She flipped through it. She stopped at a page that read, in big bold letters "DEMONS". There was a picture of yellow eyes, black eyes, a knife that looked like the one Dean has, and holy water. Lela continued to read the book until 5 am. She learned all there was in the journal about demons, ghosts, vampires, etc. She was ready to keep reading and learned what she could but she was frightened at the same time. She looked at Sam and Dean, back and forth. She looked at the journal that belonged to their father John Winchester. She felt bad because they really only had each other. Sure they had Bobby and Castiel but they only had each others back. As she put the book down, she heard Sam stir in his sleep. She sat down and started reading a Greek mythology book. She saw Sam wake up.
"Morning. You're up early." said Lela, as Sam got up.
"I could say the same about you. I always wake up and go for a jog. What's your excuse?" said Sam.
"I couldn't sleep at all. I was just reading. Can I go jogging with you?" asked Lela.
"Uh sure. Go get changed."Lela went upstairs to change. She put on a sports bra, tank top, running shorts, and a sweatshirt. She ran downstairs and met Sam out on the porch.
"Ha ha! Nice look, Lela." laughed Sam.
"Ha ha! You too." laughed Lela.Sam and Lela started jogging. They ran a few laps around Bobby's property. They ran and walked for roughly about 2 hours. When they got back, it was 7 am and Dean wasn't awake but Bobby was.
"Morning kids. How was the jog?" asked Bobby.
"It was good. I'm gonna go shower." said Lela, all gross like.
"Okay. I'll get in after you then." said a very sweaty Sam.Lela went upstairs to take a shower. The hot water felt amazing. While she was in the shower, Sam and Bobby stayed downstairs.
"So you took her on a jog with you? There's a shocker. You never take people on jogs with you." said Bobby.
"Yes. She asked and I said yes. We just went around the yard." said Sam.
"Well, after you get out of the shower and after sleeping beauty over there wakes up, I got a case for ya idjits." said Bobby.
"What is it? Demon?" asked Sam.
"I don't know. But some girl was murdered. Could be a spirit or anything really." said Bobby. When Bobby finished that sentence, Sam went upstairs to take a shower. Lela was already out of the shower and getting dressed in her room.
Twenty minutes later, Dean was awake and drinking coffee while watching cartoons on the laptop. Lela was drying her hair while sitting on her bed. She would've blow dried her hair, but she hated blow dryers. Sam went to Lela's doorway.
"Hey. We are going on a case. You will be coming with. Its a small one, so minor training okay?" said Sam.
"Okay. Sounds good to me. Let me finish drying my hair and I'll be down." said Lela, combing through her hair.
"Uh cool. Oh and pack an overnight bag as well." said Sam, as he was leaving.Sam went downstairs and told Dean that Lela was coming on the case.
"No. Absolutely not happening. The girl has no training under her belt. She doesn't know how to fight. Nothing." said Dean.
"Dean it seems to be an easy enough of a case. I think it'll be okay." said Sam.
"Fine. But if something happens to her..." said Dean.
"I know. If something happens to her, I'll never be able to forgive myself." said Sam in a calm tone.
"You like this girl, do ya boy?" asked Bobby, overhearing.
"Yes. I do. But please don't tell her that. Please?" said Sam.
"We won't but you should tell her soon." said Dean.As they were finishing their conversation, Lela heard the last bit of the conversation. She was shocked. She had feelings for Sam, but she thought he didn't notice her or like her like that. Now she knows. She walked down the stairs a few minutes later.
"Okay. Let's go." said Lela.
