"Beauty is not in the face, Beauty is the light in the heart." ~Kahlil Gibran

"Ella, meet your baby brother." My dad said as he lowered a baby blue bundle of blanket down to my height so I could see.

It was 8:19 in the morning, and my mom just gave birth to a creature she has been bearing in her stomach for a long time. The hospital room was pretty big, it had a love seat, a couch, a bed, mommy's medical stuff, a potty room. The room was a light black.

My dad, a strong looking guy with a moon and star picture on his shoulder. He was a giant and had what he calls prickles on his chin. Mommy always called his head shiny as a rock.

The bundle got closer to me and I look up to my daddy, his smile as wide as ever. When it got to my vision level, I got up on my tippy toes still to get a little bit more height even though my father was crisscrossed apple sauce on the ground. my dad look up to me. It had bright blue eyes, pale skin, and it's eye's were closed all of a sudden it made a small peep and it opened it's eyes and looked dead at me. I look back at my dad with my willing eyes asking if I could touch it. He nodded his head, and I reached out my hand ever so slowly as if it was going to bite me. My hands slowly touch it's cheek as it giggles. The look of it made me smile to.

"Daddy, can I hold it?" I peeped

"Yes, go sit down on the couch and I can put him in your lap." I turn and climb onto the couch which was half my height. My legs sprawled in front of me, "Be careful okay? He's very fragile."

The bundle was lowered onto my lap it's eyes meeting mine like we have known each other since forever. A small smile spreads across my face and the baby was sticking it's tongue out. It was beautiful. "What's its name?" I ask without looking away from the bright blue eyes.

"We were hoping maybe you would know his name." My mother replies in her soothing soft voice. That was when my eyes broke gaze from the bright sky contained in a little face.

My mom, a beautiful women with sunlight hair, she looked about thinner but still as pale before I walked out of the room a nick of an hour ago.

I look deep into the blue eyes, what I saw wasn't just a baby, I saw a beautiful creature, that has stolen my heart."J.J,"I whisper so no one could hear. "J.J Matthews"

"So I take it he now has a name." The guy in the white coat smiled.

"Yes Dr. Levi, Ella, tell them what you have decided. You have been wanted to name the baby remember?" My mother smiled looking at me. The nurse who was holding a green expo marker made a move to write the name I was about to say on the whiteboard hung up on the wall.

"No! wait!" I scream. The nurse surely shaken dropped her marker and bent down to pick it up realizing it was me. After realizing what I have done, I look over at my father and then shyly to the nurse, "Can I?" Everyone in the room chuckles and I can feel the heat from the stove top someone forgot to turn off in my face. My dad stands up in front of me and gently grabs the baby from me, and tilts his head in the direction that the nurse and the whiteboard. I got up slowly and walked over to the nurse who was smiling, "I'm sorry..." my voice trails and I can feel the embarrassment all up inside of me. Me being 7 and all, I got started to get teary.

The nurse kneeled down and wiped at my teary eyes then she held out her hand. "I don't think I have gotten a chance to meet the beautiful sister of this beautiful boy. I'm Christy."

"Estella. I'm Estella." I manage to push out from my throat. I slowly reach my hand out and place it in the hand she had held out.

"Nice to meet you," She smiled and shook my hand then she let go and handed me a marker. I look up to the whiteboard, which was 4 feet too high for me. Christy put and hand on my arm, "Let me help."

I take a step up to Christy and she wraps her arm around my waist securing me she stood up so I was about face to face with the whiteboard. I open the cap of the marker and place the tip up on the whiteboard.
