|Chapter 4|

Malaya Johnson

I started to walk down the cold dark streets of New York and sighed, knowing that it was going to be a minute before I get home.

I then remembered that it was a shorter route through an alley way, and I decided to go through that path since I could get home a lot faster.

I took a right into the dark alley way, and started to second guess my decision on taking this route even though I could come home faster. Suddenly I heard a lot of commotion and a deep voice, I quickly hid behind a dumpster as I placed my hand over my mouth.

"Nigga,  where the fuck' my money at?" The deep voice screamed.

"I'm gone get it boss, just give me a minute," I peaked out the dumpster a little and saw that the man had the boy that looked no older than 16 years old pushed against the wall.

My body shook in fear as I placed a hand over my mouth. This couldn't be happening right now.

The man was muscular and was brown skinned. The man held the boy at gunpoint.

"Naw nigga' you know I don't give second chances!" He said before shooting the boy in the head, blood splattering everywhere.

My mouth gapped opened as my eyes widened jumping at the gun shot which caused a loud creek on the dumpster. The man immediately turned around, looking at his surrounding.

I clasped my hand around my mouth as I tried to control my breathing.

The man smirked devilishly as he looked around the dark alley, his eyes immediately darted to the dumpster I was behind. I gulped unable to move.

He slowly walked to the dumpster and I quickly closed my eyes. The man snatched me up and I let out a loud scream, before the man hit me upside the head with the gun.

I then blacked out.
