3 - Lapis part 1

The waves were calm. I watched as Steven stood at the waterfront and watched the water. I slowly emerged from the water and the air was crisp. "Lapis!!!!! Lapis!!!! You're out!!!!" Steven ran up to me and threw his arms around me. I hugged him for a second then I pulled away and put my hands on his shoulders, "Steven. Jasper is out."

Steven's eyes widened. We both ran up to the temple and Steven started yelling as we came through. "Garnett! Peridot! Pearl! Amethyst! Lapis is... Jasper is... Aah!"

The three of them ran into the room. "Steven, what's..." Pearl started, "Lapis!"
"You're okay!" Exclaimed Garnett.
"What happened?" Asked Amethyst.
"I was in the ocean and... Jasper escaped. I-I-I don't know how. It's all a blur. But we have to find her and stop her!"

We all went into Garnett's room and started putting together everything we had. "There's this thing called the cluster. It's a big fusion in the center of the earth and it's gonna emerge at some point and chances are, it's gonna be soon. I was supposed to check on it for home world, but now Jasper is most likely gonna check on it, kill us, and report back to home world. We need to find her, fast."

I sit and eye Peridot. How can they trust Peridot?! She works for home world!! They all suddenly look at me. Garrett, Amethyst, Pearl, and Steven. Then Peridot looks at me. "Lapis, what's wrong?" Steven looks a little worried.
I quickly snap out of it, "Oh! Nothing. Everything's wonderful." The gems exchange worried glances. I stand up. "We should start looking right away. She's fast. The hive is a good place to start."
