'Beep buzz beep buzz beep,' my alarm clock went off. Beeping and buzzing telling me it was the first day of my sophomore year. I was extremely excited to see all my of friends that I hadn't seen in 2 years. I was happy to be back.
I got up and took a shower. It was nice and hot. As I lathered my body with soap, I began to think of all the possibilities of the new school year. Would I be 'Miss Popular' again? Does anyone remember me? Are my exes still in love with me? That was the biggest question in my mind. I was hoping the answer would be no.
After showering and brushing my teeth, I went to my room to wake up my mejor amiga (best friend/Jessie) and find my outfit of the day. I picked out a blue floral crop top, a white jacket that stopped right above my naval, a pair of white shorts, and blue floral wedges. I decided to go all out today. I put on a pair of blue hoops. I was ready for my first day. As I waited for Jessie to get ready I packed my rainbow zebra print backpack with all my supplies. When Jessie got back I saw that she was dressed in army green cargos, a white wife beater, a black jacket, and a pair of black Jordan's.
Jessie and I are complete opposites. Jessie has light brown hair. I have dark brown hair. She has olive white skin and braces where I have milk chocolate brown skin with straight teeth. She has the tomboy style and is lazy. Whereas I have a girly style but a hard working athlete but, I can be lazy sometimes too. But with all of our differences, we are still best friends.
I looked at Jessie
"Lookin' good," I said.
"Thanks. Back at ya," she said.
And with that we made our way to Tiana Mejia's house. Tiana and I have been friends since 3rd grade, my first year at Gulfbrook Elementary. But I guess you can say she and I became closer as friends when I moved away 2 years ago. Tiana is a soccer player. She has always been one since the day I met her.
Jessie knocked on the door. I heard the barking of Tiana's racist (in my opinion) dog. That dog has hated since elementary school. I tend to ignore her now she doesn't faze me. When Tiana opened the door she was wearing a black camisole with a white tank top underneath, white shorts with gold spikes overnthe left pocket, and black and white low top vans.
"Hey guys! Hold on, let me go get my bag n we can go. Ok," Tiana said.
Once we were all ready we headed to the bus stop.
"Are we going one the ghetto bus or the quiet bus," Tiana asked.
"Why do you call it the ghetto bus," I asked.
"'Cuz all the loud and ghetto black kids ride it," Jessie proclaimed.
" Oh, well I guess that makes sense," I said.
The bus ride from my stop to school was about 20 minutes.
*Buzzzzz bu bu bu buzzzzz!*
I got a text message. I checked who it was from. It was from Rachel. Rachel is like my other half. Like Jessie and I, Rachel and I are complete opposites but only in looks. She has long, blonde hair; blue eyes, and she's white.
'Meet me by the main stairs.'
When I got off the bus Jessie and Tiana showed me where the main staircase was. From there they went to there lockers and I went to meet up with all of my old friends. I was half way u0 the stairs when I heard loud talking and thats when I realized this year was going to be freaking awesome! Or so I hoped.
