Life and death are but a pair
Of lovers split apart
It's their duty that divides them
and not their coupled heartsIt is a lonely tale of love
Between these two great powers
As one begins, the other ends
A story that lasts for hoursLife is a gleaming enchantress
Full of joy and hope
But as the world around her changes
Sometimes she cannot copeShe's seen such wonders in her days
Like flowers just in bloom
Or a new pair of eyes brought into the world
But she knows they'll be gone so soonBut death is bleak and mysterious
always ending up alone
He is cursed to live In shadow
Darkness is his homeHe may have to end their lives
But he does the best he can
To make sure they go peacefully
With their final days at handThey both dream of a day
When they can be together
No duty to abide
Just him and her foreverThey see each other once a month
As the shadows of a full moon cast
They spend their time together
As if it were their lastOpposite yet perfect
Until their final breaths
One day they will be together
In life and in death
