"Kandice, wake up!" I heard a girls voice say from above.
"A few more minutes?" I mumbled rolling over and putting the blanket over my head.
"Nope. It's Sunday!" the girls yelled. Now I knew it was Amanda. Sundays we would always go to the beach. It was like our best friend tradition.
"I'm up!" I said sitting up quickly. Amanda laughed, already dressed in her usual plain black bikini and floral romper. Which she wore every Sunday.
"I packed our lunch!" Amanda said getting off of the bed and walking to my closet. She had stayed over last night.
"Pickle chips and beef jerky?" I asked.
"You know it," Amanda said smiling, "oh by the way I kind of ..." the last part of the sentence kind of faded.
"You what?" I asked throwing on my bathing suit. Which was completely opposite from Amanda's plain one. Mine covered in tons of stripes and triangles.
"I invited Harry. He's bringing Niall."
"Oh," I said sadly. It wasn't that I hadn't liked Niall the other night, because I did. I just thought Sundays were our day. I guess I could suck it up considering we had been texting non-stop since our "date".
"You're mad."
"No, not exactly. I was somewhat disappointed in the first second I had thought about it, but now I'm excited."
"Good. We have to pick them up. They live together you know!" Amanda said, halfway screamed, as she walked to the bathroom.
"Just grand."
"Maybe we should live together. I could move out of my brothers, and live with you!"
"Super grand," I said sarcastically. I loved her and all, but I'm not sure if I want to live with her.
"I could change your office into my bedroom. It would be like a super long sleepover," Amanda said walking back into the room. By now I was finished getting dressed and pulling up my hair into a high pony tail.
"You will never touch my office!" I screamed making myself laugh.
"Speaking of your office. How's your short story going?" Amanda asked. I'm a writer, or a want to be write anyways. I am an intern for the newspaper now, but I also enter some of my work in contests around the world. I've won a lot.
"Nearly finished. Maybe when we get back, you can read it?"
"Depends what's it about?" she asked eyeing me. Most of my writings were science fiction, Amanda hated that. She always tried to get me to write romance or something.
"This one is very different from the last about the Anunaki aliens on planet Nebiru," Amanda rolled her eyes, "it's about Greek gods versus their Roman selves."
"Sounds very. Intellectually boring! You're a freaking nerd," Amanda said in between breaths of her laughing fit.
"Oh hush. Lets go get these boys."

It took twenty minutes of trying to find Harry and Nialls apartment. Lets just say they are extremely horrendous at giving directions.
"Goodmorning girls," Harry said climbing in the back seat of my mustang. Not sure how he was going to fit.
"Hi Harry," Amanda said smiling. I could hear her blushing, which made me smirk.
"Hey Harry, morning Niall," I said as Niall sat next to me in the front.
"Hey Kandice," Niall said smiling from ear to ear.
