A week later…
“Phoebe!” Autumn shouted barging in.
“Hello Autumn,” Zayn let out looking up from the couch.
“Hi Zayn, where’s Pheebs?” She asked.
“Kitchen,” He let out.
“Yes Autumn?” I let out smiling at her as she walked in.
“Guess what?” She smiled.
“What?” I let out putting the food in the oven.
“I’m pregnant,” Autumn let out.
I smiled at her with excitement and hugged her.
I was so happy for her, but there was some other feeling I had for this as well.
Jealousy
“I’m so happy for you,” I smiled at her.
“You already know what I’m going to ask you,” She smiled.
I looked at her confused.
“Will you be the godmother?” She asked.
I smiled and nodded.
She smiled and hugged me.
“Have you told Harry?” Zayn said leaning against the wall.
“I’m going to tonight, I had to tell Miss Phoebe first.” She smiled and hugged me tight.
I smiled and looked over at Zayn.
He smiled at me as Autumn said, “I have to go get dinner ready but I’ll call you in a bit,”
“Alright, talk then,” I said as I watched her go.
I leaned against the counter.
“You okay?” Zayn asked.
“of course,” I smiled at him.
He kissed me and wrapped his arms around my waist.
“When the time is right,” He let out quietly.
“I know,” I smiled.
That night…
I was sitting on the couch eating popcorn while Zayn was taking a shower upstairs.
I was flipping through channels and fell upon the TLC channel watching wedding dress shows and popping each piece of popcorn in my mouth one by one.
“Miss me?” I heard him say as he slipped next to me.
He smelt like old spice.
His hair was all wet.
He was in just boxers.
“So much,” I let out smiling.
He grabbed some popcorn and pulled me into him.
“I’m going to take a shower,” I let out kissing him and getting up.
He grabbed the remote and smiled at me.
I turned the warm shower on and began peeling my clothes off.
I hopped in and closed the curtain.
As the warm water hit me, I thought about how I didn’t want this life anymore.
I didn’t want to live in fear of when he was going to leave again.
I didn’t want to live in fear of how if we had a baby, he might not be there to meet the baby.
I just began to worry.
That got me crying.
I washed my hair and body and got out.
I walked to the room wrapped in the towel and locked the door behind me.
I wrapped my hair up in the towel and wiped my face from the tears.
I stood in front of the mirror for a few seconds looking myself up and down.
I sighed and began to get dressed.
I unlocked the door and blow dried my hair straight and walked downstairs and sat by Zayn.
We were watching some movie.
I sat there with my arms around my legs.
I wasn’t paying attention.
I was thinking.
I hadn’t seen my family in a year, I was beginning to feel it all hit me now.
“You sure you’re okay?” He asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” I said smiling at him.
“Pheebs, don’t lie to me.” He said.
I looked at the TV.
“What is it?” He asked.
“I just miss my parents, I haven’t seen them in a while.” I let out.
“You can go visit them if you want,” He said pulling me close.
“Are you sure?” I asked.
“Yeah, I would go but I don’t have any vacation time.” He said kissing me.
“Thank you,” I let out smiling at him.
“Are you sure that’s all?” He asked.
I smiled and nodded, I didn’t want to argue about the whole being scared of when he’s going to leave again.
“Good,” He let out kissing me and caressing my back.
