A New Shade of Black [HP fan-fiction]

Prologue

Somewhere in the Muggle World...

As Hermione walked in to the Ministry Of Magic, that brisk Thursday morning, she had no idea what the world had planned for her that day. She rarely every did, this was a world of magic after all.

However, what was most odd, was the fact that the Prime Minister from the muggle world had found his way into Hermione's office.

The grey hair man looked very out of place. His modern suit clashed very much so with Hermione's 'unique' office.... As Hermione work with muggles and of course her muggle up bringing, she had quite a mix of both magical and muggle elements scattered randomly throughout the room...from laptops to feathered quills...

On noticing her entry, the minister nervously stood to greet her.

'Ah M-Mrs. Hermione Weasly, pleasure to meet you.' He stuttered. 'I am Prime Minister Tony Blair, of th-the norm- I mean muggle world..'

'Prime Minister, what a surprise to find you....here. What to I owe this humble greeting?'

The man was very uneasy. Hermione could tell he certainly did not feel comfortable being here. The poor man. But she could also sense it was a matter of urgency. What it had to do with her however, was a mystery...

'Well, your Minister, Mr. Kingsley Shacklebolt advised me that you would be someone that I would want to talk to. You see, there has been a matter of problematic incidents back in the muggle world. .and they seem to be the doings of magic. He mentioned that you might be able to assist with the problem? '

'I see, but as much as I would like to help, that's not exactly my departments job.' Hermione explain to a very desperate looking man.

'I can understand that M'am, but he insisted that you would be the one to help. Will you? Please'

Why her? Hermione wondered. What was so important that Kingsley wanted her to be the one to do with.

'Oh well', she sighed. 'Let's not prolong this any further. We should get going' With that she approached the Minister and placed her hand and his shoulder, preparing for Apparition.

'Ready?' She asked him.

'Ready? For what? W-where are you taking me!?' his worried yelp let out.

'Somewhere in the muggle world...'
