Just a bit further. Come on, you can make it!

The slap of bare feet on tile echoed through the silent halls of the Starship Polaris as she ran. It was by pure luck the halls were empty being this close to the transport bay. All she could do was pray it stayed that way. Quick and quiet, no bother, she had almost done it before.Last time luck was not on her side. But this time, this time she felt it.

The plan was simple. Get out of her glass prison, get to the transport bay, beam over to the nearest starship, file a report with starfleet and get out of the hell she had lived in for so long. So simple, she was afraid it would fail again. But right now, with everything going so smoothly, there was relatively nothing to fear.Relatively.

She pressed herself up against the wall and peeked down the corridor. 3 officers stood between her and her freedom but thankfully they were facing away from her. With a silent sigh, she ripped the pin from off her uniform and threw it down the hall. It fell not 15 feet into the adjoining corridor on her left. She pressed herself as far into to shadows as possible as one officer walked down to check it out.

"What was that?" He said.

Quick and quiet.

She dashed up behind the poor man and ,with a swift jab to the back of the neck, knocked him out. Grabbing his gun, she made sure it was ready to shoot. Now was the tricky part. Checking the hallway again, she took careful aim of one of the other officers who was now standing guard.

Quick.

She pulled the trigger and the officer fell into a heap.

Quick.

She bolted down the hall into the transport room and stopped when she saw the third officer. He was much taller, bulkier and most likely more experienced than her. She held up her gun.

"Don't move..." She said slowly walking around him to the control panel.

She did a quick search for the nearest federation starship and the second she took her eyes off the officer to see what ship it was, the officer pounced. He shoved her to the ground roughly and hit the alarm.

No.

She reached over and frantically searched for her gun.

You can't have me.

She found it and brought it up quickly.

I won't go back to that hell!

She pulled the trigger.

Blood dripped down her face as she pushed the man off her. She ran to the transporter and just as the captain ran in followed by the first officer and two other officers, she fell to her knees and was whisked away.
